Will he gain CV on mustachegifts.com? Otherwise, I don't think he'd do it.

Ended May 15, 2013. It's closer to 2 years actually.

How is it better? There aren't exact dollar amounts and it's confusing how it scales. It'd be much easier to say "$1100" for a CV than say whatever level $1100 falls under and then have people who are in the range but not actually $1100 be able to enter

He doesn't like the level system, so he will continue not making giveaways like he's done for the last year and a half.

These kind of posts "I won't make giveaways anymore because of ..." are kind of childish to begin with. People don't care about one user not making any giveaway so they will get that kind of reaction anyway.
It's even funnier though when it's from someone who's already not making any.

I get your point, but its something like Feedback and better than the silent majority.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for opening a suggestion post with constructive feedback like "I don't like levels because ... and would rather see ..."
It's just that the threat of one user not making giveaways anymore because of a site feature he doesn't like doesn't do much in term of being constructive.

Oh noes, one user stopped making giveaways. We are all doomed. Now I will be forced into entering hundreds of giveaways made by other people who are actually generous.

then i would start a campaign to ask people's support for you to be a mod.

I would hack your account and create hundreds of Fortix giveaways. :P
But honestly, no matter who decides to not make any more giveaway for whatever reason, I will just enter into those that do exist. I would even still like you because you're a nice person to begin with.

"...though I found two gift links of games I do not need and I'd really love to give away." I mean, the only person stopping you is you.
"Because this site was better before the all round update and easier to handle with." I don't know exactly what "easier to handle with" is supposed to mean, but I can only imagine that they'd welcome constructive feedback. With that said, the site seems to work and run well enough. Subjectively declaring it better than before doesn't really provide much insight as to what is or isn't wrong or right with it now.
"And the level system is a kind of... well I simply dislike it." Okay. I mean, that's statement is completely lacking in usefulness. It seems to be similar as before except incremental, and bundled games are counted in a way that make a bit more sense. Or, at the very least, is more simplified. So...what about don't you like?
And here I think is the big question...why are any of these things rational reasons to not do a giveaway? There is a jump in logic here. A conclusion without a complete set of premises.

I liked the old system for bundle games better, because I got 100% CV from them instead of 15% now. :P
I lost tons of CV in the transition to v2, but at least those who can't contribute non-bundle games do not have a hard limitation anymore so that's good.

You may have lost CV, by comparison, but it is a fair system nevertheless. The exact same thing would have happened to anyone else in your same position (high level of CV with some amount of those coming from bundled games) which puts you on the same playing field as before. Unless someone else had a high level of CV without bundled games, in which case the intention is that you wouldn't be on the same exact level. And, as you mention, it is helpful for those who can't often do non-bundled games.
If nothing else, more importantly, it does not appear that you have boycotted doing giveaways as a result of any of this ;).

I know, I'm not sour about this. I think the simpler way of calculating CV will be helpful.
As much as I appreciate the opportunities my higher level gives me, that's not the reason I make giveaways. Anyone who expects some return on his "investment" on SG is clearly misguided and would be better off buying games from the store directly.

I think the old system did a better job of encouraging people to give non-bundled games, to try and get the full value from those bundled games. The new system does a better job of encouraging people to give away bundled games that they wouldn't have bothered with (due to hitting the CV cap).

Just wanted to let you know, that I will not make a giveaway, though I found two gift links of games I do not need and I'd really love to give away.
Why? Because this site was better before the all round update and easier to handle with. And the level system is a kind of... well I simply dislike it.
