I'm looking for an RPG which is similar to the Bioware / Obsidian ones. I played and really liked Mass Effect saga, Dragon Age saga, KotOR saga, Elder Scrolls saga, Fallout saga. Anything in that vein with a good story, interesting characters and i really like being able to develop your character's personality(mainly choosing how you will go about things and dialog choices, if you'll go the nice guy or the asshole way, etc).
Thanks for you suggestions!

I recommend a JRPG called Xenoblade Chronicles. You can maybe get a copy for the Wii, or for the New Nintendo 3DS. Doesn't work on the older 3DS model, sadly.

I assume you have played BG2 which is still by far the best rpg in the category.

One solid recommendation that has already been mentioned is Witcher 1 if you want a good mature story. It's just one character though.
And I'm still waiting like crazy for Torment Numenera. Will be released soon enough.

Maybe also try Wasteland 2 and the shadowrun games ?

PS1: I'm also a fan of good story driven rpgs with choice and consequence, action ones can quickly become very boring.
PS2 : My favorite underrated rpg of all time is Planescape Torment. Mainly due to scenario and characters. I wish they released an HD version of it so more people would try it.

Actually wanted to try Planescape Torment but its way too old for my taste, shame I didn't play more near its time like i did with NWN

Hoping Torment Numenera is good too!

Deus Ex 1 and Deus Ex 3 (Human Revolution). I know they look like an FPS, but they are actually cRPGs. As in real cRPGs with one of the biggest freedom I ever saw in a game that didn't end up being a shallow-plotted sandbox. coughElderScrollscough
Coincidentally, DX1 ends to end up at the, or near the first spot on most "best video game RPGs of all time" lists that know the difference between an RPG and an ARPG. (No, kids, Skyrim is not an RPG and never was, it's an ARPG.)

Baldur's Gate 1-2. Both the original on GOG and the Enhanced Edition on Steam can have decent pros and cons, but if you don't care about modding them to death, then the EE is a better choice.

Pillars of Eternity after playing them. PoE is really building on the BG nostalgia, even if it has the good and bad handprints of Obsidian all over it.

Planescape: Torment. 'Nuff said.

Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magic Obscura. You want freedom in character build and doing the quest any way you want? Want a super complex world where all small jobs can tie in all ways to each other creating a somewhat confusing, but exceptionally deep plot, web of tasks, and a gigantic cast to interact with and shape their lives? You got it.
(And you also get a lot of crashes and a system where you can hardly level up your character to do one thing right by the end of the game, but hey… choose throwing weapons and kill dragons with a boomerang without getting touched. No, not joking. Boomerang type weapons murder everything in the game and the secret boss who uses the neutral spinning throwing weapon is probably the deadliest enemy in the entire game.)

Vampire, the Masquerade: Bloodlines. Same people as the original Fallouts and Arcanum, and this time with even more player freedom, even better writing, and even more crashes and terrible optimisation. (And it is on the Source engine, so it speak volumes on the ability of these guys to mess up any game code ever written. But at least they are great writers and game designers.)

The rest of the BioWare library. Neverwinter Nights' original base campaign is horrible, but it can introduce you to their simplified D&D 3.0 mechanics. The two expansions are god-tier though.
The sequel was made by Obsidian, and unlike that pile of stinking mess they made out of KotOR II, this one is even better than the first game. Also, its first expansion is often considered not only their best work, but one of the best cRPGs ever.

If you like ARPG style gameplay somewhat, and don't mind running around for hours on end hit-and-running to level up to a point where a wandering chinchilla cannot kill you in one hit, then the Gothic series can be worth a try. They may (well, will) need a ton of fan-patches and plug-ins to work properly.
Also, there is the last BioWare game, Jade Empire. It is not an RPG but a TPS brawler/shmup, but it has good writing and a good world.

Edit: Totally forgot the other new ones. Wasteland 2 if you liked the original Fallouts (which were originally meant to be a Wasteland 1 sequel). Divinity Original Sin if you like turn-based combat and a game where the mechanics are more on the tactical side than RPG style. And the Shadowrun games. One cannot recommend them enough.
Oh, and finally the two Obsidian games I forgot: Alpha Protocol (looks like a stealth game, but in reality the gameplay is closer to Mass Effect 2, as in go in, kill everyone), and South Park: Stick of Truth (which should have had GOTY for the writing alone).

I tried Vampire the Masquerade and actually came across a glith and like 2 or 3 crashes in around 4 hours of gameplay. Uninstalled after that :c. Is there any way to make it better? (Content Restoration Mod - kinda, a patch or something?)

Your description of Arcanum sold me 100% on it, the others piked my interest but it really sounds amazing in that description.

I did play Gothic 3(good, but i wouldn't say great) and I might try Jade Empire(though i'm not as conviced by it as other BW games)

Thanks for the fleshed out descriptions! :]

Vampire has a few fan patches, but that's it. If you play an Obsidian game, you just accept the fact that you develop a muscle memory to hit the quick save key every five minutes because it will crash. It may take up to two hours or maybe 30 seconds, but it will crash. Blizzard games always depend on your ability to click as fast as possible, Bethesda Game Studios games always have terrible writing, Bungie games will always be a variation on Halo, Obsidian games always crash.
Arcanum will be like that too. Although it is fairly stable for an Obsidian game. The challenge is usually getting the necessary patches to work to make the game work. In full screen mode, it is fine, as long as your monitor can handle old low resolutions properly.

And seriously, play Deus Ex 1. :D

Pillars of Eternity, Wasteland 2, Divinity: Original Sin, Shadowrun, The Age of Decadence, Planescape: Torment, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, Temple of Elemental Evil, Anything by Spiderweb Software (I did in particular like Avernum: Escape from the pit for its gameplay, and Geneforge for its setting).
