I think that the last time this came up (which was in the last 2 weeks I believe), all that it took was either a restart of steam or your computer. Not sure what the cause is, but the solution seemed simple. Happened to me once during that period and it resolved itself on restart.

So some of my already installed games would show up as not currently installed. Already deleted everything except for steamapps and steam.exe, didn't find any answers on Google either. Any help? I would contact Steam help, but I can never find my problem in the categories provided.
Example: Played New Vegas yesterday, and now it shows as uninstalled.
