it is allowed ,dont worry half the keys here are HB keys

I believe they meant you're not supposed to give away keys, only humble gift links.

Redistribute includes giving away. See this comment.

Yes, it's pointless to argue when HB clearly says, "[Our] products are for personal use only. We do not allow selling or redistributing keys." :P
But creating gift links is perfectly fine for giving them away-- so it's not really a problem =)

Duno i think thats overthinking it ... many many ppl here giveaway keys from humble , and they give them in key form
No one ever had any issues so far .
It is better to give the gift links instead ( there was reason behind that , that escapes my mind right now ) but other then that i really dont see a problem in giving it in key form.
The re-selling thing to im pretty sure its against ToS ... even if its a gift link :)

Yeah, you're not likely to get arrested. :D But it is how HB prefers it. Oh well.
I actually contacted Humble support about trading HB keys or links. It is also against their rules, with the exception of trading Humble Gift links for other Humble Gift links. I have a separate section on my trade page that is only for trading humble gift link for humble gift link. But most people don't know about this, and if they did, they probably wouldn't follow it, I suspect.

No, only humble link(s) for humble link(s). It was part of a longer email conversation, but I've uploaded the relevant part. I don't know why the support rep's wording was so strange-- possibly a language barrier?

Thank you. That is still kind of stupid because it seems like they themselves are not sure if they allow it or not: "It is wise to avoid them", basically he is advising you to avoid them because you can get scammed probably. Also, on their steam group they said that trading is done at your own risk, if it is only HB gifts for HB gifts they should make it clear.
"Remember that if you choose to trade or give away your Humble Bundle purchase in whole or in part it is done so at your own risk" (https://steamcommunity.com/groups/HumbleBundleOfficial/discussions/0/152391995405141969/)
"If you choose to trade or give away your Humble Bundle purchase it is done so at your own risk." (https://steamcommunity.com/groups/HumbleBundleOfficial/discussions/0/613937306586299001/)
A few days ago I sent them the statements I have just sent you and I am still waiting for a reply.
Thanks for the heads up! :D

I agree that it's not made clear. They do make it clear that "Products on Humble Bundle are sold for your own private, non-commercial, personal use," but it's NOT clear whether trading a gift link for another key is considered "personal use." If it's really against, their rules, then you'd think they'd say it more often in places like their Steam group.
Maybe I'll make a post in that Steam group's discussions board.

Good luck getting a reply from them, I tweeted them my ticket number 2 days ago and also on Facebook and they still didn't respond, now I have to wait till Monday haha. Someone on reddit said "They say the support ninjas are fighting battles....i'm afraid they are all laying dead on the battlefield." I strongly agree with that, haha.

You can give away humble gift links, but not keys.

As niceguyjon said above, you can post bundled giveaways. Humblebundle, Bundlestars, Groupees, and a bunch of other sites bundle games are fine as well.
Free games and any games that were put into a mass giveaway aren't allowed, other than that everything else is ok.

The community is really helpful so if you ever aren't sure whether you can post a specific GA, just post a question or ask someone on here. :)

Quote from the humble bundle faqs (https://support.humblebundle.com/hc/en-us/articles/204527298):
Humble Bundle products are for personal use only. We do not allow selling or redistributing keys from your purchases. You can gift individual keys to friends using our gifting system, which you can read more about here.
So no problem gifting it to a friend you met here as long as you are using their gifting system.

If you buy something as a gift, you should get a gift link that you can give to the recipient.
If you buy something in the store, press the little "present" icon to turn it into a gift link.

Solid portion of the users of the site are giving away keys from humble ( and a lot of them give keys and not gift links ) ...
There is absolutely nothing wrong with you giving away a key you have revealed , its just arguably safer to gift the links instead .

They do not condone you giving away the keys but It's perfectly alright to do so. They are a store so they want to sell as many games as possible and that's why they gave you that answer.
You buy the game, you get the key and you can do whatever you want with it. You can resell it, give it away, leave it unused forever or whatever you wish. Most countries in the world protect your right as a consumer in spite of the TOS of specific companies.

It's very simple: you give away Humble gift links instead. That is allowed.
You're not supposed to convert it to a key first and then give away the key.
You are also not allowed to TRADE a humble gift link, unless it's for another humble gift link. But very few people adhere to that, and few of them know about it. I have a separate section on my trade page that is only for trading humble gift link for humble gift link.

Whats the fuss about ? Youre trying to find problem where there is no problem.
They dont allow you to resell them and make profit from it (btw, yes - this should be much clearer). Their costumer service might have hard time making it clear, but thats how everything works. Giving keys (through gift links) away IS personal use. You do whatever you want with them.
Personally I usually buy HB bundles also for my friends who want them. And then I give the link to them. Thats basically what you do here.
For goodness sake - they even have "gift bundle" option when buying.
What are giveaways ? You basically give the game as gift to someone who was chosen randomly.
Trading links is different story. Im not gonna touch that. But this topic is kind of silly if you think about it. Of course you can give the link away and you can recieve them.
If you recieve the key as winner or send it, you technically break their rules. But all these rules do are make it safer. If you redeem the key, its just redeemed. They don
t have the information about who or what registers it on steam. Through link it just makes safer the transition. The person who claims it has it.

As far as I know humble bundle forbids giving away keys, in case I win a giveaway and I know that this key is an humble key, what can happen to me? Perhaps I misunderstood the rules and it is allowed?
