it's a shame that isn't complete. I don't know why, it just never has been
EDIT: also it took them a few years just to update it to what's on that list now. Whereas i will update, weekly? monthly? not sure yet

Drawn the painted tower is on your list but as far as I know it cannot be redeemed on steam, I have a boxed version at least that cant, and I'm pretty sure if you buy it direct from bigfish it wont be able to either.
The game has steamworks only if it is purchased directly from steam (like a bunch of other games) you might need to check up on some of thoes. but this is a great list =D

that thread is from 2010. Here is a response I got from Steam Support a couple months ago when I asked them about activating a M&B: Warband key I bought from Amazon:
Hello xxxxx,
Thank you for contacting Steam Support.
Retail copies and other digital versions of this game cannot be registered through Steam. If you wish to create a shortcut to this game in your Library list, instructions can be found here:

A full list of games with CD Keys that can be registered through Steam can be found at the following link:

Please let us know if you have further questions.

So yea, neither of the 2 keys I got from Amazon support would activate, and then Steam tells me that straight out.

ahh touche, you win :) i shall remove it next update. thanks for the feedback

is it not? i shall check up on that. Thank you for the feedback.
Also, as far as i know, it's "Steamworks" as long as it activates on steam, not purchased THROUGH steam. but i shall also check up on that. Thanks for the feedback dude

it may be specific to certain retailers, i'm just not sure all i know is that my boxed version does not and since bigfish has their own download client I doubt that one does either.
This is also quite useful for this: Some steam forum page
it's got a couple retailers and according to this the amazon version of mount and blade warband will activate, sigh why cant they just make it easy...

Also according to this: another steam forum page the second entry is drawn and like I suspected it is only steamworks on the steam version.

Supreme commander... EDIT: (the original)
I don't know if you want to add it to your list but it's missing. Its kind of complicated and I'm not sure where it can be activated from, however, buying it from the amazon store you can activate it on steam. but my boxed version cannot be activated on steam.
I don't know if it can be activated from other retailers, but i can confirm it will activate from amazon

i guess that would be some sort of exception list i need to make. something like "specific retailers" list. I shall get on that for the next update. Thank you :)

not complete ones, no. Not even steams own Support page is complete. Which is why i've done this

This is great, but wouldn't it be even better if it was just a Google Doc spreadsheet? X_X

the problem with that is that it just has all games on steam, this is looking for ones that can be activated on steam from other websites and stores.
looking at the steamworks titles can be a rule of thumb but some only have steamworks when you purchase it direct from steam. See this: steamworks games

note taken. I plan to make a google document for it, webpage, and anything else that would make it user friendly. Just uploaded as the one for now until it's 100% accurate. With help from the kind SG users.
Thanks for the feedback

Hey people. This is for those of you who want to buy a key from a 3rd party store and want to know if the key you're purchasing will work on steam. Many threads are made for sites like Green Man Gaming or GamersGate on their awesome deals. But there is always doubt as to if it will work. Here is a full list of the games that can be updates.
If you find any that are NOT on the list. please inform me. This will be updated regularly.
everything on this list is steam redeemable!
(>'o')> Check out this little Kirby clicky for the Google Spreadsheet.
If you're looking for a specific game, just hit CTRL + F, then type in the name. If it appears on the list. It's steam redeemable.
Thank you to CorneliousJD and dys for the idea/know-how
EDIT: obviously, this is a work in progress. not 100% yet, if you know of any mistakes i've made, or games i've omitted, please feel free to let me know. It all helps.
Thank you guys
