People put computer chips in themselves all the time for medical reasons. Think insulin pumps and such.

Looks interesting to me. We already have people wearing all kind of piercings and insertions. These can have some use too.

A bit odd really, but it's not much stranger to me than piercings or tattoos. It's not hurting anyone, it's her body and money, so I guess whether it was 'worth it' or not is down to her and her alone. Meh.

kind of moronic. The primary reason normal people will never be doing this, is that tech is outdated in about a year. It's far simpler to replace when it's in your pocket and not your innards.

Don't care for the chip, at least not whats on offer currently. But the magnet that lets you feel electromagnetic fields is bloody tempting.

Personally totally not worth it, she literally implanted herself with a magnet and an NFC tag if I understand correctly although to be honest I didn't read the whole article. I use an NFC tag a fair bit as well, but I just have one connected to my USB wristband, I guess its sort of like if you're going to go an implant a chip on yourself I would probably do something more then a magnet and a NFC chip although I'm assuming thats probably because of the power issues involved. Not worth it to me unless you could do something actually kool with it.
