I applied.
I once had a BLAEO account, but I haven't logged in in years and I don't use it. Not even sure I still have the log in credentials. It works without it, too, right?
Edit: It was easy, log in with Steam. Here's my profile. Not sure if that's of any use to you though, since - like I said - I don't use it.

Backlog Assassins Extraordinaire is a website where tracks your progress if you wish to slay your backlog. Now I only use it for the simple way of tracking people's progress with the games they win. There are other ways to do it, but I found that easy to do.
Welcome!

While i'm always up for "playing your wins" groups, i have been accumulating too many wins that needs to be done because of my game pass sub, so i'll get back to this once i finished them.
That being said, i'm kinda curious on how you'll handle the wins. This group seems way more lenient than PA and PM which almost has no requirements in joining.
1) Are you going to track the winners' playing progress or is it going to be the responsibility of the gifter?
2) Since you said that beating the game isn't required, what happens to those that always play the bare minimum? I'm asking this since there are a lot of people on PA that didnt finish their wins and only play the bare minimum (which sometimes i doubt whether they play the game for the hours stated or just played ~1h and idled the rest).
3) Are there going to be some sort of bans implemented if you decide to kick the players who didnt play their wins?

I've had to cut two of the requirements as they were upsetting people and breaking the rules of Steamgifts, so they do seem like an easy access. I have been thinking to rise the restrictions to the point people need to play the main campaign and share their views on the story with us, but then again, that may upset a lot of people for forcefully changing the rules midway of their entry, so I'll not change that.
1) Are you going to track the winners' playing progress or is it going to be the responsibility of the gifter?
Great question. Primarily, I was thinking that Arrmeya and I will be tracking most of the winners as we'll be the main gifters. Now if others wish to participate and gift games away, unless it's not going crazy, I'm happy to assist with monitoring the progress of the giveaways. I don't look on over-flooding the participants in the giveaway with daily or weekly giveaways, but rather 1 or 2 that are meaningful throughout the month. That gives me plenty of room to check.

I want to create a more transparent relationship between us as the gifters and them as the players. We want to understand people at a much more personal level why they don't attempt to finish their games and if we can help them play a game to a certain degree and/or can't provide any kind of feedback to what happened in the game and how the game is like, they will be removed. I think the best thing to do is set up a FAQ to better describe this things, but they are great questions.
3) Are there going to be some sort of bans implemented if you decide to kick the players who didnt play their wins?
Yes. We value our time, hard work and money invested in giving out games that people expect in the upcoming months or games they simply can't afford themselves. If they don't value the same things, they will be unfortunately removed from the group and maybe loose all their rights to come back, since as I mentioned above, the main way of gifting games will be through us personally. A way to show our appreciation for they provide for maybe supporting our journey on YT or engaging with what we do on Steam.
Great question. I really appreciate you've asked and I hope my answer help you understand what we plan to do.

Well i didnt really see the two requirements that were removed, but judging from what others have said, is it for subscribing to youtube and discord channel? If so, i think the issue was different. Take PA and PM for example (sorry for comparing them a lot, but they are the only "play your wins" group that i know). PA requires you to play one game to the end as a way to show your commitment for playing your wins, while PM requires you to have a certain percentage of your wins played on SG. Since both are "playing your games" group, the rule is still acceptable despite having a difficult requirement (especially for PM) since the focus of the group is for playing your wins.
Subscribing to both youtube and discord, on the other hand, doesn't really connect to the group's motto of "playing your wins" since it didn't contribute to anything besides playing. Besides, people might not use those two sites frequently to do any sort of interaction that you are expecting (unless if you just want extra number of subs or members). If you are just doing a giveaway with subbing those two as a requirement, it should be fine as long as they are not done in sg (because sg rule doesn't allow it), but it becomes an issue when you also expect them to play their wins.
Basically, any extra requirement should be alright as long as they are in line with the group's motto. Also, it is your group, so you shouldn't be afraid to add new requirements if you think it should be done, even if it makes the requirement harder. The same applies the other way though - don't be afraid and remove a rule that you think is just because people don't like it. We are just giving you suggestions, and whether you should take it or not is up to you. Those who don't like it will leave and not join the group, but it's more that they can't commit to the new rule than hating you for it :)
That being said, the group looks alright to me atm. I'll come back in a few months after i finishes my win backlog. Good luck with the group! :)

Actually your example is what inspired us to go through the GA Group, although it's less restrictive than both of them. It's a lot more difficult when I'm expecting others to do the same kind of monitoring as we are and this is mainly more to kinda give out to the awesome community on Steamgifts but in the same time, have them enjoy the games they win. They will be less frequent because there's less members who might do GA's using our group, I think, since that's not a requirement.

Yes, well primarily we wanted to drive more traffic to our YT, but not without providing a sense of value. Discord was there to help us connect and provide Giveaways such as games from consoles and other hardware that we can't give away using Steamgifts. Since it's going against it, we've removed it because we don't wanna sound pushy although it might came across like it. Ultimately, we're still happy if people wanna show us support, because what goes around comes around. Once we're able to monetize the channel, we'd be more than thrilled to give more to our fans and supporters.

Thank you and if you have suggestions what I should do to make things a lot better please do. I would love to have a website like PA or POP, but again, that's not going to be easy, but would be super helpful to not use someone else's website to get my information about how people are progressing in the games.

Hi, I sent my request. Now I will try to create a BLAEO profile. Thanks for creating this group!

It was a heavily discussed topic between me and Arrmeya and since I really enjoy this community, we said why not. And I believe that we've got the means to help provide insights and videos that may help you pick your next game in the future. Welcome to the group! π

That's good to know. BLAEO has been my first initial thought, but again, there's other tools to check, although they can be somewhat slower. Having an account there helps me easily check how people are progressing with their wins and sometimes it automatically classifies it as beaten or completed, which is great!
Request accepted!

I never get a game I donβt want to play, even free.
If a game I own turns out to be something I wonβt play again, I just delete it from my account.
Thus, every single one of the games listed here is at least somewhat intersting to me and I plan to try them all eventually, and finish all the ones I like.
I like what you said here. Welcome! π

Hi and welcome to our Steam Group Recruitment,
Who is TalePlay:
I formally created this Steam Group with the intent to deliver on short burst reviews for Steam that are linked to my personal account and offer a much more detailed overview of the games I play. I still continue to do that time to time, and as well create YouTube videos with reviews, game-related topics, discussions, and game listings that I think you would enjoy watching.
Today, I have decided to open up our Steam Group Recruitment for Giveaways. These giveaways will contain games that are rated on the Positive side of the spectrum, from AAA games to AA and Indies. I am doing this kind of Steam Giveaway(s) and Discord Giveaways once a month, starting at the beginning of the month, and provide you with one of the best games you've wanted to get your hands on or want to play. Some of the games may contain a whole collection and some will be stand-alone.
What I want from those who wish to participate is to PLAY OUR GAMES. I think it's important that you understand that even if these games are giveaways, somebody out there, worked hard to get the money and invest it in the prize, so we value that you play the games you win from us or other members in the upcoming 3 Months since receiving the game.
If you want to know more about me feel free to reach out, but make sure you write a comment before you add us. I may or may not accept, so I appreciate your patience and understanding.
Leader: Vasharal so, if you want to reach out you can do so via Steam.
How to Join:
First Apply on our Steam Group and write us a comment that you applied in this thread.
Have an account on Steam Hunters for accurate achievement stats. Completionist.me is also acceptable.
[Optional] Create, if you haven't, and share your BLAEO account in the comments.
β BLAEO helps us easily check your won games through without going through the hassle to check through Steam or other tools that are more likely slower and it's neatly organized. YOU DO NOT NEED TO TAKE PART IN ANY CHALLENGES.
If you partake in the giveaway and win our giveaway, we want you to play that particular game in the next 3 months. You don't have to complete it, but we'd be happy if you'd at least attempt to beat the main campaign. If it doesn't have a campaign or story, play a significant amount of time to kinda cover 25-50% of the Achievements. If some games don't have achievements, screenshots are required for rolling credits.
Group Rules:
Giveaway Rules:
Giving giveaways using our group is NOT REQUIRED. It's just our way to give out to people who wish to support us on our YouTube journey. But, if you wish to take part in the group and give giveaways, please remember that you have the follow the following rule:
We want each winner to have their hands on games that are highly rated on Steam.
As a reference you need to keep in mind some of these metrics:
"This is a TalePlay giveaway, by joining you commit to playing this game within three months if you win it."
Final Notes:
Requesting to join without leaving a comment below will result in an automatic rejection after a week or more. Please don't forget to do this because oftentimes we receive a request and never hear from the applicant at all on Steamgifts. I find it difficult to reach out to individuals who don't respect the rules as their profile is very restrictive and can't write back to them. If you don't hear from us in a week time after you applied know that's the case.
Do know that by using BLAEO helps us easily go through the win and see your progress, but if that's something you're not happy using, we'll be using this script or completionist.me to monitor and track your progress with the game. We will not nudge you or force you to play the game, but do know that you may lose access to the group if you are reported or found abusing people's kindness.
To join BLAEO you need to apply here. Your application may take a while to process, but once you've got your hands on your account all you have to do is share your profile, that way it's easier for us to just monitor your progress with the game.
If we missed anything or may require some updates, we will be updating this discussion.
If you wish to check Status updates for your game, removal from the group or something similar, visit our Steam Group Giveaway Status Discussion section to learn more.
Among other Play your Wins groups we'd like to be able to create a deeper relationship between the gifters and the receivers, so we'd like you to be transparent about the things you liked about the game. You can share your views about the story, because I personally really enjoy a good game that has an amazing story. Some games I might have played them myself, and I can freely talk about them without the fear of spoilers, so I'd like people who do win the games to be opened for discussion about them. Games are fun and should be experienced at a much deeper level than just finishing a game to 100% or be forced to complete every side-quest or worst, playing it for a few minutes and never picking it up again.
We want that you keep in mind this aspect while being part of TalePlay. We know that sometimes we get over-saturated by the sheer amount of games we can win or we can buy, to the point we build up a backlog. Let's make gaming and receiving games fun again!
Thank you for considering joining us and we're looking forward to seeing you partake in our giveaways as soon as we get started.
If you wish to check the games we're giving away you can check our Steamgifts Group Giveaway.
