LOL, EA totally deserves this. Thanks for ruining our games.

Also this: “In the past year, we have received thousands of emails and postcards protesting against EA for allowing players to create LGBT characters in our games. This week, we’re seeing posts on conservative web sites urging people to protest our LGBT policy by voting EA the Worst Company in America.”
“Many continue to claim the Always-On function in SimCity is a DRM scheme,” writes Moore. “It’s not. People still want to argue about it. We can’t be any clearer – it’s not. Period.”
and:
“We’ve seen mailing lists that direct people to vote for EA because they disagree with the choice of the cover athlete on Madden NFL,” writes Moore. “Yes, really.”

Yeah, that really shows off how disconnected EA are from reality. The Consumerist gave Peter a reality check, but let's not pretend anyone at EA will notice.

It's less about the games themselves and more about the developers they buy up, run into the ground, then gut and put out of business. They've never been held accountable for that. There's also that thing where they made $926 million by overcharging people for their sports games (which of course they knocked down to a $27m settlement after the lawsuit sprang up). Furthermore, they're the only company that actually responds to this sort of thing. If Bank of America won, nothing would happen because they don't care. Not only is EA butthurt as all hell about what just happened, their entire defense force is too.

Well actually this document (which is probably fake) is kinda true. There are far worse companies.. yet EA should improve itself and see this a warning sign (well, more like a punishment sign).
After they'll improve, other worse companies actually have a shot to "win" the survey, and raise awareness.

Peter Moore is defending EA by claiming the people who voted for EA being the worst company were homophobic. Seems legit

I just think it's a convenient scapegoat. Honestly, if EA wasn't a bad company there wouldn't be frequent news of their mishaps and failures. It seems for the past year or two, all I see is talk of the next gen consoles, and how bad EA is.
But really, it all comes down to how well EA is doing financially and how many consumers are still purchasing their products. This may be an indication of how things are going comparatively now (after being considered a bad company vs back when they were "good"):

I am going to be completely honest here, I actually don't believe EA is the worst company in America. I believe they are the worst video game related company in the world right now, but certainly not overall worst company in America.
I just don't see EA feeling genuinely sorry for us, the consumers, when they pull crap like they have been for the past few years now. I know companies mess up, but I don't recall any companies messing up at the rate and scale that EA does, and to me this is a little appalling. All we are to EA are money cows and they don't care if we get upset, they're just gonna milk us dry and move on. I feel used :(

I loved Dragon Age II so I don't know what you're talking about.
