Joining the Army at 18, I went to college for like a month and didn't like it, I went to a trade school and tried different classes there while I was in high school and nothing really interested me, and it's really hard to find a job in upstate new york without an education, even walmart doesn't want to hire high school graduates who aren't atleast enrolled in college. So It's kind of my last resort, and it's a minimum of 4 years, and 4 years isn't too bad, who know's, maybe I'll love it and go career.

A lot of people make a career out of it, which is still a great thing. My brother didn't, but halfway through he got to live off base with his wife, which was awesome. I'm sure after your service you'll know more about what you want to do. Just don't let it change you like some people do. I've seen people turn to total assholes when they follow the crowd of jackasses that make the big mistakes they regret later in life. I'm sure you'll make the right choices!
