Or it would be if it wasn't an obvious scam. Why do you think he came here, a site with a clear, easy to use, free giveaway system, and then announce he's giving the game away off-site, using a completely unverifiable method that give him total control of who get it; or more likely allowing him to say he gave it to someone, who will then back him up?

More people in his little troll-group. Even if the people who join aren't active, it bumps up their numbers, which makes it seem like a bigger deal, which gets more eyes on it, which in turns gets yet more people. Classic scam.
