might take half a decade or more.
Looking at Larian's past discounting habits, it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume a range of 4-7 years from release before it gets to the -75% that Original Sin 1 is at. Perhaps we'll see a fluke, but I don't see it likely falling the 2-3 Euro range even within half a decade, based off Larian's precedence. (That is, to put emphasis on your "or more".)
Bright side, with BG3 out and Divinity: Fallen Heroes coming out soon, maybe we'll finally see a better sale on Original Sin 1. It's been about where I'd normally be deliberating getting it, but since Remote Play is still finicky for me (in regards to who I can enable it with), I'm looking at having to buy two copies just to play, and that's still high enough to bring me over budget. :(
In any case, not holding my breath on BG3 getting into budget any time remotely soon- the higher price tag as well as the arguably higher and/or broader appeal [given the franchise in question and that turn-based is generally more accessible an option] suggest it'll take at least as long to get into budget range for a single copy as two copies of Original Sin would [relative to release], even after accounting that I'd probably set a higher limit on where I'd be willing to buy for BG3.
Though, well, reviews for BG3 are presently lower than for OS/OS2, so a lot really'd depend on how Larian handles BG3's continued Early Access development. Being that it's Larian, though, I'd assume that's not much of a concern.
So, to tweak Vahid's comment below..
playing the long game

I agree 2-3 euro range is very unrealistic but there's also the possibility of it being part of a bundle long before it reaches 3 euro on any store. But yea I wouldn't bet on that either since they haven't been part of many bundles, I'll probably grab it at 75% some years down the line.

Not historical low for my Steam region, but that's a pretty decent price after all. Now I'm really looking for the summer sale :P
PS: The DLC for BG is also on sale

Do you guys reckon they're gonna put these in a new bundle? Icewind and Planescape both got bundled recently

I feel bad for people who got the $24.79 Baldur's Gate: The Complete Saga bundle a few months ago, it's only ~$11 here.
Spend over $10 for the $1 coupon or a free game (from a choice of Internet Cafe Simulator, Bomber Crew, Blazing Chrome, Call of Juarez, or Summer Scorcher Mystery Game). I got Beyond Eyes and Shutter 2 as Summer Scorcher Mystery Games.

since 1 and 2 was only so cheap in the steam sale i grabbed them. pretty decent to only pay 7 bucks for both but i admit i didnt buy any of the DLC for the first game cuz im too cheap for that, heck $4 for soundtracks sounds like a scam anyways.
