I like to feed the birds in the garden and keep an eye on them - the sparrowhawks are quite impressive but I'm worried about them eating all of the others! This one is the mother, which I managed to get a bad photo of;

Ahh i understand. I do not know how much they eat but i would not think they are so hungry to eat all the others. Or am i wrong,,,, On second thought the can scare away the ones they don't eat.

They have been feeding chicks who are clearly quite hungry - but even so I don't think they could eat all of the other birds! It is making me feel guilty about putting food out for the smaller birds though if it is just luring them into danger.

There was a hedgy walking here on the street one day, he was walking really slow and had flies buzzing near him, called the animal ambulance and they took him with them. Always wondered if he turned out okay.
