A year has come and gone...
EDIT: AND BAD RATS IS HERE TO STAY!!! CLICK ME CLICK ME!!!!
It's been an interesting year. Many things have come to pass. I found this site while I was taking care of my dad who was recovering from temporary paralysis. My grandfather passed away. I made some puzzles. I joined some groups. I made a lot of friends. Became an anti-leech. Threw a couple events.
Overall, SG helped me get through some rough times. However, the time has come to say good-bye for now. I may participate in one more event, depending on how things play out, but a break is necessary. Something I've been wanting to do for the past two years is finally coming to fruition. For the past two years, it's been blocked for one reason or another. The onset of my dad's condition, my grandfather situation, a friend who was traumatized and needed constant care for 3 months. But... Finally, not only is everyone okay and I feel like I can leave them with a clear conscience.
It's time to start a new journey. I'm heading off to South Korea at the end of the month to go teach English. My job offer came so quickly I was surprised! Now I'm in Chicken with it's head cut off mode trying to take care of everything. The funniest part is I've been planning on doing this forever, but now that it's happening, I'm mildly freaking out. But excited at the same time.
I spent a year in Berlin that totally changed my life. Now I'm off for another adventure. I'm not leaving for good, but I don't know how much internet access I'll have at first, plus I'll be waiting for a paycheck for the first time, and setting up a foreign bank and... well you get the idea. There's a lot going on. Further, I won't have a second monitor which will drive me crazy till I get one. I'm sure I'll be busy exploring the city like crazy when I first get there... so... Yes. A break is in order.
If you've got me on Steam, you will likely be able to find me there and leave a message as I'll probably have it on all the time as usual.
But anyways, so many people have touched my life here and made it better. However, I still remember to this day the thread that pulled me into the forums. So, a big thank you goes out to eeev for making her selfie cake day thread.
That was probably also a bad thing, because of that I discovered bundles
I joined SG with somewhere between 88 and 250 games... >_<
So to all of you from the Selfie-Thread to the Puzzlers, from the Berlin Train Riders, to the various Secret Santa events, from the Birthday groups to my very special Ratio groups, I wish you all a wonderful month or so till I find my way back.
No Poll for you - I don't care what cake you like... and even if it doesn't qualify, my favorite is Cheesecake - All Kinds of Cheesecake
OMG I forgot the train! XD BOARD HERE!Comment has been collapsed.
