The guy or girl has friends only profile. Also their profile picture looks like one, that scammers and shadow accounts tend to use, and above all that, they doesn't even have SteamGifts account, so I'd say that you have been scammed. In your thread you probably gave away your Steam profile link, in which case you increased your chances getting a scammer. If a registered SG user wants to trade with you, he/she can find your Steam profile link by clicking on your SG name. I'd say that you should ask him/her to give you back the game and cancel their payment, but probably as soon as you mention it, they will unfriend you.

P.S.: Am I the only one, who (when talking about scammers) can only think about a guy, but never a girl? I know that it sounds pretty sexist, but has anybody ever encountered a scammer, who was a girl?

And how exactly would you even know, if you did encounter one? Yeah, that's a very sexist way to say, especially since you have no way of knowing who you're talking to to begin with, or do you just jump to conclusions based on profile pics?

No, of course not. This is just one thing I've been wondering on. You know the things like "You've ever wanted to know, but never had the courage to ask"

I do jump to conclusions based on profile pics however. Not from all profile pics, but if someone adds me, and I don't know that his acc was set to friends only I can tell if he/she is a scammer or not.

Heh, i doubt they'd answer truthfully even if you asked. And even if we have scammers here, reading this right now, i doubt they'd be willing to answer an "ASL?". So yeah, it will forever remain one of the mysteries of life :P

Nah, on that part we all jump to said conclusion. I doubt most people here will accept a friend invite from a private account, i know i don't.

Does the fact that Enhanced Steam takes me (with the SG-link) from a private profile to the SteamGifts front page mean that the user doesn't have a SG-profile or is it unable to lock it up because of the privacy settings ?
