I have acquired a ton of spare keys over the last few years. I have one primary Steam account, and an alt I have been feeding with spare keys from giveaways and DIG/OtakuMaker bundles. As I have more duplicate keys for some games, what are the options for me running more than one farming account? I have Steam app so I can use the Steam Guard to enable trading on two phones, but I can't buy a phone for each extra account I run. Is there an easy way of setting this up? A guide anywhere?

Thanks for your advice!

From Indie Gala giveaways ("follow us on Facebook and click this button to get a Steam key for Goocubelets", that sort of thing). I haven't participated in any giveaways here if that's what you mean :)

i see, well i still not sure what ur farming, if cards then the posters below posted archies setup which is supposedly much more superior to the one i used back when i had ton of cards to farm "steam idle master"
i would suggest looking into archies first and then into idlemaster if that doesnt work for some reason

Yup, I'm meaning cards. I used to use Idle Master too, so going to try SDA and ASF tomorrow

You can use one phone number, email, and a single app for any number of accounts. The only catch is if one of them gets a VAC/game ban, all of them get it.

About phone, you can use the same number on both accounts. Then you could use steam desktop authenticator to confirm trades

  • Create account you need to put 5$/€ there i think
  • Insert le games
  • Run ASF on all accs
  • Desktop mobile auth and there you go

You can link your phone number for more than 50 accounts (someone told me that here on the forums)
I use ASF to run all my alts at once.

Little related question:

Limited accounts cannot level up. If spending $5 to make an account unlimited at a later date, do you retroactively receive the xp/levels for that account? Could be XP for games on that account, or for pillar of community/ambassador tasks.

Edit: Not sure it's actually possible to do enough tasks to reach ambassador whilst limited now I think about it, but I think you can do enough for pillar which would put you up a level if you weren't limited.

You get xp from all the games you owned before spending $5 to make it unlimited ^^ I don't think you can do much related to community with a limited account, so the community-related badge might be unrelated. However, if you'd have the account for years I'm pretty sure you'd get the Years of Service badge, and you would 100% sure get the amount-of-games related badge too.

Thanks for the answer. No point in waiting around to create an account then. Might as well just do it and activate any keys whether one was intending to spend the $5 on the same day as making the account or at a later time.
