Steam just went down?

The steam site is down right now for me. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Phone disconnected - deleting data and reentering them says that my login is incorrect
Steam worked fine - logged off and now I have "no internet connection"

The client tells me I'm not connected to the Internet when I clearly am.

Logging in to the web site, it tells me that my login details are incorrect even though I know them by heart.

Depends on the game (some require online authorisation on startup), you'd have to have downloaded the game first (obvs), and you'd first have to authorise your account with Steam if it's a new pc/laptop/os.

Offline mode is all sorts of iffy if you're thrown into a no-wifi zone unprepared.

Can't connect to the client, and on the webpage there is no community's choice and I can't vote on the new options... oh well, I guess I'll just go sleep since I have to work tomorrow.

I don't think the flash sales are correct either -- they are still showing as "Holiday Sale" not "Flash Sale" and are consequently less discounted than they should/will be, so they probably haven't adjusted them yet due to the server issues.

Well, that was interesting. When it came back up I had a card from the game I had been idling for cards with no notification of anything being added to my inventory. So if anyone else was doing that, be sure to check to see if you earned something.
