But.. Sol Invictus falls on the day after the Winter Solstice (which fell on the 21st this year), to commemorate the return of lengthening daylight. What.. what's going on in this thread? Though it's worth noting, even that interpretation (along with the retaining of the original day-after-solstice date of the 25th) may not actually be accurate [>>], as recorded dates of festivals to Sol show them being based in August, October, and early December, and the date of Invictus appears to be based on a singular assumption alone.
