Well, my guess would be that this is a code to activate a closed beta for a game, but I cannot tell which one.
Some games have a "Beta" category in the properties where you can enter a code.

The code is invalid when trying to use it to add a game to steam. Might be valid for beta activation for an already installed one.

Looking at the code LNLFS-TRIAL... I believe it is probably a code for a game by (LNL) Publishing called (F)alling (S)tars, which currently has a free trial to download 9http://store.lnlpublishing.com/falling-stars-war-of-empires-trial?search=Falling+Stars)
It is probably the activation code for that and you probably need to enter it after downloading the game.
Not a game that interests me, so I haven't taken a look.
