Yep definitely. The game itself is worth it, not to mention all the mods available for it.

Rather get ArmA 3, it pretty much has all the mods ArmA 2 does and DayZ is just terrible now in ArmA 2.

There are really lot of awesome mods for Arma 2 but Arma 2 it self is awesome it depends what you are looking for exactly.
