Please Humble Bundle, stop take my money all months. :(

Already have INSIDE, and Dirt Rally doesn't particularly interest me. Then again, everything else could be more than worth it when they unlock. Hmmm...

Already watched Game Grumps play Inside so no reason to buy it and I'm not very interested in Dirt Rally, I still have to play the two Dirt games they gave for free.

I either want to play a game or not. If I want to play it, I'll buy and play sometime in the future. If I don't want to play it, I don't need to watch someone else do that. It's just a loss of time. Have better things to do. Just don't find it entertaining or appealing in any way. I watch like a couple of minutes maybe just to see how a game is and only if I find like I really need to. It spoils the surprises.

I think it depends on what kind of games you play the most.
If i was playing only solo games where the story is the most important part, i doubt i would watch any stream/youtuber unless i already completed the game (or part) they are showing.
On the other hand, multiplayer games are often seen for their mechanics or strategy part rather than the story. So i've no problem watching that.
Of course you can find a lot of exceptions. For example, i remember watching that guy playing Dishonored (a game i don't even own, nor particularly interested in) and he was doing those crazy slow-mo actions and it was damn entertaining.
Edit: if anyone is curious i was talking about this guy
Another thing worth mentioning is that some people doesn't care about improving or understanding how things works, they prefer to play the game the way they want and it's perfectly fine if you ask me.

When you watch someone play a game, you are experiencing the game along with them (even if it's not streamed, because they record their reactions real time). I watch a youtuber named Sips play through a lot of games that look interesting and a lot of fun, but I know that I don't really want to shell out money to buy them since I'm having fun just watching

I sometimes watch people play a game that I can't play (like if I don't have the system it's on) or if I like the person who made the video. For Inside, I didn't want to spend $20 on 2-3 hours of gameplay when I can spend far less money and get more value out of it. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

It may be funny but it's a really poor analogy. You can't just play the Superbowl or the Champions League final yourself. But you could very well be playing the exact same game you're watching on Youtube. That's more like watching a sex tape of your girlfriend while she's in bed with you.

because you are not sure if you want to spend $60 USD on a brand new release - so you watch a 10 minute youtube video of 'lets play game name' or watching a twitch stream for a few minutes to decide if the game lives up to the hype or not?
Do you watch a game trailer prior to purchasing? Its the exact same concept.
Now watching someone play for hours on end.... that is totally different ;)

Limbo wasn't really that hard...
I managed to go on a no-death run in my third try (When doing a no-death run, of course)

It wasn't the difficulty, unless you consider the bonus level. Which was plain lazy, but that is another question. I only hda issues at the very last puzzle as the gravity shifts felt totally random, so I died a dozen or so times there.
No, my problem was that the game was incredibly boring even by puzzle game standards. It really suffered for the utter lack of anything that resembled writing.

I actually found the narrative, as expressed through location, details, and gameplay as opposed to dialogue, to be one of the strongest points of the game. To each their own, of course, but there is quite a bit of layering and metaphor for those who are interested enough to look for it. I'm sure it won't resonate with everyone, but if you take a look at some interpretations of the game's meaning you may be able to see it from a fresh perspective?

More like bland level design. Not even the thing about being monochrome, but how the entire premise/promise of an eerie dark forest just disappears very early in to be replaced by an incredibly generic factory with strings upon strings of switch puzzles. Honestly, it bored me, I pushed on only to see i it gets better. It didn't.

My RoW key said it's not available in BO, HN, BR, BS, KG, BY, BZ, CN, NI, PY, PA, TJ, RU, PE, TM, GT, CO, VE, CL, AM, EC, GF, GE, AR, GY, CR, AZ, MD, UY, UZ, SR, SV, KZ, UA
which should be South and Central Americas and Russia + CIS, if I am not wrong.

+1 I got a South American key.
Didn't take a screenshot though. Sorry about that.

you can activate ROW games, but you cant purchase ROW keys from region locked regions

You don't get $100 worth of extra games, games in monthlies are very very rarely worth their retail price for people who do use steamgifts.
Comment has been collapsed.
Still that schedule / timing didn't make much sense from a marketing perspective, cause of the steam refunds.

To screw their new player base ? that looks smart...

You mean the part where they try to get one last batch of mid-price sales on Steam by offering a discount, just before 1000s of keys are released worldwide, almost certainly permanently lowering the market value of the game on PC?
I know economics is hard, so here's a primer:

Because they're practically guaranteed not to have a 100% Steam refund rate of coupon-related sales, the coupon campaign will be profitable. Not doing it would be giving up the opportunity for higher-margin purchase, which will all but disappear.
Consumers, being lazy, irrational, and in general non-optimific shoppers, leave money on the table all the time in terms of failing to take advantage of price-matching, as well as failure to redeem small gift card balances...or get returns when they could save a small amount. Which doesn't even include everyone who played over two hours after purchasing it before the release of the HB Monthly.
In short, not everyone is a highly-motivated cheapskate of the sort necessary to return games to save money or to enter 11,000 giveaways over 4 years in order to win 42 games, for a total value of $105.10.
