Do you guys think 2015 will get worse for the Gaming Industry?

Also, I've heard some rumours about Valve getting broke, could someone confirm this?

[BTW] how do you eat crackers without getting crumbs on your bed?

I thought 2014 went quite well. A lot of interesting games, although I feel as though the industry as a whole is stagnating a bit. Too much focus on AAAAA+ games or tiny indie games.

As for Valve going broke, no. And if they were really hard up for money, they could always go public.

And I never eat in bed. Ever.

Nobody knows how Valve is performing except Valve. They are a private company, like many others in the industry. However, they continue set records for consecutive users logged on and are continuing to generate IPs. Older estimates/speculation consider them to be a profitable and high revenue generating company unique to the industry.

Do you mean civilized?

I think it was the average year for gaming, some good some bade games.

Though as was said before,i think the game market is getting stale and to many sequels and sure beta that do not always end up as sure bets.

That is the down side of going public and having to answer to share holders, you are forced to make a profit so quantity over quality usual ends up being the norm.

I think it is never a good idea to ever go public,in most cases it does more harm then good, you get the extra cash flow but profits become the main goal to keep the those who invest, vested in you.

This. The fear-mongering and the complaining about 2014 was only relevant for the AAA studios, who, unfortunately, do own a huge market share in the industry. But it was an overall good year for gaming, tons of great stuff happened.

Yes, here too.

So does your comment not support what I said? I will be done school (hence, I'll be going to uni), and will therefore have more free time to play games

Though heroes 3 - is a masterpiece, but will be reissued only The Restoration of Erathia. So there is no good news in rerelease, as well as sense.

I really think it will be a great year regarding to the new games that will come out and be anounced (high hopes on fallout 4 at quakecon) but with bullsh*t regarding to games, like gamersgate and region locking and valve destroying trading... well sadly things like this will always exists

P.S dont worry about the crubs, just enjoy the crackets and then clean and thats it, not a big deal

Theres some good games with releases for 2015 so I'm excited for this year. Valve going broke? No way.

Stick the entire cracker in your mouth, problem solved. Unless these crackers are too big then get out of bed.

why would valve be going broke. theyre making more money than ever from micro transaction sales and market sales.

also this year has witcher and batman games coming out... i dont see why this is going to be a bad year when you have two of the most eagerly anticipated games of the past few years coming out in the next 365 days...

For AAA games, yes, probably worse than ever. For smaller titles, who knows, but I don't see why it should be bad.

Since when is "be happy you're not dead" a good reason to not criticize stuff? If you're dead, you're dead- game over, closed curtains. You gotta complain while you can. :P
Also people have the right to be pessimistic if they want to.

2015 will be shit in general like it has been the whole decade so far, granted I am quite the pessimist. Indie more and more seems to be the way it goes.

Valve is far from going broke. Their addictive money making strategies, such as the steam market, is the sole reason they rarely bother making games in general anymore and it will be the reason any future valve games will figure out a way to make money off of it, whether it's guns or hats.

It wont get any better, gaming is all about making money now and they know you will buy their game even if its unfinished and broken as long as it has a famous name like call of duty or assassins creed so why make any effort?

Well, if nothing else, we have a lot to look forward to in cinema, with movies like: Jurassic World, The Avengers 2 Age of Ultron, Into The Heart of the Sea, Ant-Man, Jupiter Ascending, the new Mad Max, Chappie, The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part II, and, of course, by far the most anticipated of the entire year, Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens.
