Is this bundle Dino-mite, or not?

[Tier 1] Since I can't afford the whole squad of DLCs, I'll just stop here.
[Tier 2] Evolution complete. Next stage: incomplete.
[Tier 3] I'm a crusty Cretaceous craftsperson who doesn't need Tier 4 DLCs.
[Tier 4] We spared no expense.
[Have] It's a Jurassic Park Bundle! I know this!
[Skip] Hammond, after careful consideration, I've decided not to endorse your bundle.

I went with skip even though it wasn't with careful consideration since I don't like the charities very much this time and I haven't seen or know next to nothing about the Jurassic park series other than - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gh4zvQfDhi0

On the contrary, I decided to focus on the weight of JWE 1 first. After spending a few hours with it, I came to the conclusion that the base game is as dull as watching a hen with chicks. Overall, the game feels lackluster and uninteresting.

Verdict::: JWE 1 - is not worth installing (even if you own it)

yet, before I`m going to play this weekend JWE2 next, here I found a brief summary about improvements over JWE1

"
New Features and Improvements in Jurassic World Evolution 2:

More Dinosaur Species: The second game features over 75 species, including new marine and flying dinosaurs1. This adds more variety and excitement to the gameplay.

Quality of Life Improvements:
Automated Rangers and Medical Vehicles: You can automate tasks like checkups, making park management smoother2.
Simplified Herbivore Feeding: Instead of using planters, you can plant food directly in their habitat2.

Enhanced Dinosaur Behavior: Dinosaurs now have more complex social interactions and behaviors, such as pack hunting3.

New Game Modes:
Chaos Theory Mode: This mode lets you play through “what if” scenarios from the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies3.
Challenge Mode: Offers more structured and challenging gameplay2.

Improved Graphics and Animations: The dinosaurs and environments are more detailed and vibrant, enhancing the visual experience1.

Building Customization: There are more options for creativity with buildings and park layouts3.

Campaign and Story: While the first game had an interconnected story campaign across various islands, the second game follows the events of the latest Jurassic World film, with dinosaurs roaming the United States4.

Overall, Jurassic World Evolution 2 offers a richer and more immersive experience with its expanded dinosaur roster, improved mechanics, and new gameplay modes. If you enjoyed the first game, the second one is likely to provide even more enjoyment and depth.

I think it's historic low for the series, but for a series that's DLC'd to heck like this one it's probably not that appealing to Steam Gifts users.

The point of brsichetti is that these two poll options represent lines of the movie. Pretty great job to adapt them to the poll.

It's an ongoing trend from multiple directions. It's also understandable that Humble cut a minimum % of the bundle sales for themselves.
But I'd bet that it's the developers/publishers, who just aren't willing to take like 10-30 cents for a game from a bundle, and that lead to the general price hikes. Franchise or publisher bundles may be an exception for that, as they are often used for marketing tools.

(There are actually quite a lot more game bundles on Humble, than they had for a few years - but at a higher pricepoint. For me it looks a clear response to nobody wanting to sell their games cheap, outside of the Monthly bundle. Of course I can be wrong about it, it's mostly my personal experience, I didn't track exact dates and prices)

I suspect the grey market/key resellers hasn't helped convince them to keep stuff at that price either. It's always been a bugbear for many developers/publishers. From what I've read before, I think many believe bundles can long term depress sales in the normal markets. (And remember it doesn't matter if this is true. If they believe it's true it's going to affect their willingness to participate.) And regardless they're understandably not happy with other unconnected parties making decent profits over their content effectively at their expense.

and u think devs get more money after like 4 years of game release only because price of bundle rised up 500%?

it has nothing to do with getting paid adequately

I recall bundle sliders where the "developers" section could be split between games, and I do remember that a $1 tier had 3 games (or even mroe), then even if you paid full to the devs, they got $ 0.33 each. That's useless money, especially if you consider that the dev money - unless you modified it - was shared between all devs of all tiers, to not starve the devs who put their games in higher tiers that fewer people bought. Must have been fun to sell one's game 15 cents a copy, and that people now complain why bundles - games - aren't that cheap anymore.

Now if you buy the adult swim bundle with basic distribution, tier 1, the devs get 2.92€ out of the 4.49, with four games it comes down to 1.125.€ each. Still ridiculously cheap.

So yes, I do think and I do KNOW that devs get more money, because we paid beans for the early humble bundles, and the devs seen a FRACTION of that.

People need to stop complaining about having to pay $1-2-3 for a game, that has 10x its MSRP - even for indies. The "good old days" were not sustainable, and degrades the developers time and effort put into a game.

PS: that bundle only had the base game in tier 1, that is somehow forgotten. This one has 4 extra DLC, so it's a fool's fallacy to compare two clearly unequal things.

There was a bundle in May 2022, but it only included Jurassic World 1. If I had known that, there would be a bundle with both games after two years.

Yeah if we all know things in life before...

You know what perhaps there will be a Jurassic Parc 3 soon and we can expect 2 to be cheap too in 2 year.

(I liked the poll options too, nice tongue in cheek references)
Surprised myself by actually getting this, at tier 2, now I have the first game complete (been looking at Return to JP and Dr Wu for some time), not that bad in terms of value.
The other tiers concerning the 2nd game though...expensive.

Sure, if you really want the DLC it's a great deal.

There is no "complete your collection" option on Steam, so you'd have to buy all the DLC separately. The historical low price just for the Dominion Malta Expansion is 6€. So 18€ for everything is great. And you get to give away the base games as a bonus.
