there are quite a few games that end up being given out for free several times. Endorlight is a fine example. Technically, it still costs $2.99 on steam, but there have been at least 5 occasions in the last 6 months where it was given away for free.
there are some exceptions, such as the very limited number of Dark Souls keys that were given away for free; plenty of people who entered didn't get a key, and it's highly unlikely they'll be given away for free again any time soon; but generally, if it's given away for free, it's a free game
