Which ones are worth buying? I'm not buying all of them at the same time, but i want to see your guys opinions. And if possible, pros and cons on each game would be nice.

-Sonic Generations (i also want to know if the DLC is worth it and how much content it adds)

-Rayman Origins

-Fortune Summoners

-Chantelise

-The Elder Scrolls (I want opinions on Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, never played a TES game)

Also, i don't buy games at full price. If i'm REALLY interested, i will buy them on sales or i wait until the Steam coupouns come back.

Thanks.

Edit: Woah, never thought this thread would survive a night. Even if i'm not responding to posts, i will read all of them. Thanks for the feedback guys!

sonic generations is great, dlc is kinda fun but it's a pinball game only kinda not really worth it, get dirt cheap on sale or something. and Fortune Summoners is kinda fun. I love it but not quite as much for some. As for Skyrim it's great I did like Oblivion a bit better but now that Skyrim has been patched I like it a bit more.

Any TES game is worth playing. soo much content im talking about 200+ hours of gameplay just to do quests let alone roaming around raiding every fortress, etc. unique gameplay, good story, amazing story, awesome story, u can upgrade swords by adding sigils and whatnot, just amazing, 10/10 for every TES. go bethesda!

If you enjoy old-school Sonic, Generations was great for me. did a great job
DLC is just a pinball game

i have Chantelise but didnt play it yet. i always hear its a bad version of Recettear (if you already have that)

Well, i have Recettear, and judging by the Chantelise screenshots, it looks exactly except the camera views.

And thanks for the insight on the Sonic DLC.

Much agreed. I have both recettear and chantelise.

Albeit recettear has dungeon diving, chantelise isn't running a store. I've personally enjoyed both games, but I haven't played chantelise since it was released (got caught up in classes etc).
Chantelise does use the same item images from what I've noticed, which is kind of lame... but it is more of an exploring/questing rpg from how far I got. I can't really put way too much input for it aside from that and the fact that it isn't Recettear.. Also would like to note, I played with a controller, was much easier!

And for the sonic, the dlc is something to pick up if it is very very cheap. It is a remake of the pin ball game found in one of the sonic games, has new music... and I think that is about it. :)

As for the elder scrolls, Morrowind I would suggest first and foremost, and then skyrim (pick it up after the dlc has been released and it is cheaper).

this is just what i've heard.
i'll probably play Chantelise soon, just beating some other games before i move onto new ones.
i know Chantelise definitely doesnt have any shop-keeping

From my experience:
Sonic Generations (don't bother with the DLC unless you like Pinball) is great.
Morrowind is good, I disliked Oblivion and didn't bother with Skyrim as it seemed even more streamlined.
Didn't like Chantelise at all. I came in expecting something similar to Recettear but it was just a hack n slash with archaic mechanics and terrible graphics

Oblivion looks pretty good for that price. Not to mention that Skyrim is expensive as hell right now and that i heard quite a few bad things about it in the middle of that sea of love it receives blindly.

Thanks.

Chantelise is great, but if you don't have it Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale (by the same publisher) is really awesome too.

No, it's not just you. I got bored of oblivion after 3 hours, decided to give skyrim a chance and dropped it after 2.

For TeS - I'd be sure to play Morrowind and Skyrim if you like RPGs, they are a must. Oblivion is the worst of the series by a mile, and can be enjoyable for a bit, but is honestly rather skip-able.

Out of all of these, I would say go for Skyrim. That way if you like it you can come back here and say "Thanks for Skyrim!"

content wise an elder scrolls game would be your best guess. Sonic is great but you will blaze through it quite fast.

I can only speak for TES. Even then, I can only speak for Morrowind, and a bit of what I've seen and read about Oblivion and Skyrim.

Basically it comes down to this: If you like lore, quite a bit of reading and good modding communities, go for Morrowind. AFAIK, it has the biggest modding community of all TES games.
Oblivion (once again, apparently since I've never played it) is easier than Morrowind. One of the things that makes it easier is that it has fast travel as in you can go pretty much anywhere on the map (I THINK you need to be on the spot at least once for it to work, not sure on that) with a click where in Morrowind you have to travel everywhere on foot, only means of transportations are between cities. But it helps to enjoy all the amazing world of Morrowind. And if you have issues with the old graphics you can mod it so it looks even better than Skyrim! Also Oblivion has a compass pointing to quest locations, on Morrowind your only compass is your map and sense of direction. Which adds even more to the immersion aspect. There are also differences in levelling and other aspects of the gameplay.
And Skyrim... Well, it looks good. That's all I can say about it.

All of TES games are great RPGs. They all have their characteristics and things that make them different from each other. If you'd like a game where you can do pretty much anything you want, without being forced to go one way or the other, then you'll love all 3.

TES series are for you if you love open world RPGs. If you don't mind the high price and can't wait for Goty edition, go for Skyrim. Morrowind has the most atmospheric environment and better story, deepest RPG elements, but its control is also quite old school. If you don't mind that, Morrowind is for you. Oblivion will be my recommandation. It's has most of the fun Skyrim has and it is much cheaper, and it has A LOT of well developed mods. It may have something you don't like here and there, but you can always find some mods adjust that. It is a good starting point as it is more friendly to new player than Morrowind is and cheaper than Skyrim.

TES series its really good, I LOVED morrowind, it may be a little dated and a little hard (for today gaming standards) but its the best one in my opinion, if you want a more arcade less rpg/freedom/difficulty go for skyrim, its was ok in my opinion, not THAT good.

Sonic Generations is great, the DLC is worthless. It adds an in-game pinball machine, very similar to the one in Sonic Adventure's casino zone. But it's JUST a pinball machine. So pointless

Rayman: Origins is good but it gets a difficulty spike kinda fast and can get annoying at times but it's still worth getting if you are into platformers.

Haven't seen anyone mention this yet but if you plan on getting Chantelise you better have a controller. The controls can be remapped on keyboard but it plays so much easier if you have a joystick. If not, you will likely find yourself having troubles beating the game, it is pretty hard even with a controller. It's nothing like Recettear though, they just share similar graphics and item sprites.

Sonic Generations is awesome. Both the 2.5D and 3D portions are fun, and even the extra missions are pretty good (unlike the tedious [IMO] ones in Unleashed). The boss battles are pretty imaginative and fun (semi-spoiler: but the final battle is a letdown). Also, if you're a long time Sonic fan, the nostalgia will get you badly. lol

The DLC, like others have said, is just a pinball table. Personally, I liked it, but I really like pinball (my mother used to have this full sized table in the house when I younger). Grab the DLC on sale if you like pinball or just really like Sonic stuff.

I have invested more time into Morrowind than any other game ever made. I played it obsessively alongside a few of my friends for a period of time on the order of 4-5 years (Talking 20-30 hours a week)

I can honestly tell you i still have not seen even 75% of the game.

As mentioned before, there are mods much like the steamworks stuff for Skyrim now, that add enough content to the game that makes even the amount of playtime I invested seem small.

honestly just go straight to skyrim, morrowwind and oblivion are both good in their own right, but i think playing them in reverse gives you a lot better appreciation for the older ones, and i have heard great things about rayman but havent played it yet

Chantelise is a lot of fun. It's a retro style RPG anime thingy that's ported from Japan.

On the subject of The Elder Scrolls. I played Daggerfall. Morrowind and Oblivion. Daggerfall was the hardest.
Morrowind bored me to death :P. Oblivion is a lot more fun (quests), and looks less papier-mache (yeah, interface is really really bad)
