Hi everyone,
So I was away for ~3hours while IdleMaster was running and when I got back.. BOOM! Steam notifications: "You have 32 new items" .. and apparently I just got 32 trading cards in 3hours.

Did this happen to anyone else?

*Edit: It seems I got only 1 card from each of the 32 games. For some of these 32 games I have only ~20minutes of gameplay listed.
Apparently Steam says I am currently playing like 10 games simultanously..

Are you sure you didn't have any pending trades that went through while you were away?

Never had that many cards drop that quickly with IdleMaster. O.o

Yes, there was no trade... and it seems I got just 1 card from each game.

Oh, that happens when you're idling a bunch at once and don't have any recent refunds on your account. You don't get the two hour wait before card drops start and they can drop a lot faster.

Is that actually confirmed? Was there any official timeframe announced with refunds applying a 2hr restriction? I refunded FFXIV a while ago because the people I'd intended to play with gave up on it and it's burdened my farming ever since.

There was a big thing about it on reddit with people testing refunds vs non-refunds. People without refunds were able to get the card drops before the 2 hour mark, and people with refunds had to wait the 2 hours. I don't remember how long ago you could have a refund (if at all). I had a refund back during the Summer Sale, and I still have to wait the 2 hours, but my wife, who's never had a refund, gets her card drops right away.

I didn't re-read it all the way through, but I believe THIS is the thread.

Yeah I remember the thread, and that a lot of people were getting inconsistent results. Would be nice if valve actually opened their mouths about an undocumented change for once instead of having us trial by error between hundreds of people. Pretty annoying that one legitimate refund can impact an account just because of other people abusing a feature they hadn't put enough thought in to. Owell, thanks anyway.

I agree, it would be nice to hear it from Valve directly. I get the feeling it could be a combination of things -- amount of purchases vs refunds, age of the account, etc.

I guess we'll never know for sure. -_-

I also checked now.. and it seems that for some games I got 1 trading card even if only ~25minutes of gameplay.

I never asked a refund, but this never happened to me before.

Was it a once off or has it happened since? I remember long ago before I fully understood the mechanics of farming, I tried 5+ games at once, and I would get cards simultaneously, but it took a good 4 hours as every additional game running is MEANT to increase the time to receive a card by double.

It seems it just happened then, now it's back to normal without me doing anything...

Probably there was some server glitch.. but that was a fast farming :D

Dangit... there goes my hope for simultaneous farming. Back to my 25 game backlog.

Probably you've been playing some games for a little while, that you haven't got all the card drops from yet. Maybe thats why you got the last cards drops so quickly
But idk, Ive only used this software for a couple hours yet

Just once. For some odd reason, 3 games I was idling ( around a month back) dropped all the keys in 1.4 hours during the simultaneous 2 hour idling. Usually most games Idle for 2 hours at the same time and then idle individually dropping keys .... Got 17 Keys really quickly ..

The Steam community was down this morning. My guess is that your recent and previous drops didn't "drop" and were "queued". When the Steam community came back online, all of the queued cards appeared in your inventory instantly.

I was thinking the same.. but 32 is quite a lot and now that I checked my games library.. there are several games listed as "Running" in the same time

Yes, but thing is.. I did not try to idle multiple games. I just had a normal IdleMaster on and for some reason Steam was detecting ~10games in the same time.
Anyway, is back to normal now..

I tried idling simultaneously but it seems it takes forever to get the cards so I just idle 1 game at a time.

Had the very same thing happening to me after a Black Friday haul - I was running like 28 games at once and the first card for each dropped within half an hour or something. I also never asked for refunds, and it only happened that one time. Maybe it's some kind of... flukey... glitchy... thing.

I can't even get Idle master to run since the last steam update - comes up with like normal, but then has an overlay image of the Sign In link, it won't sign in, says steam is not running and just sits there.
I tried downloading the latest version but it behaves exactly the same.

Yeah, I once got 14 drops from 14 different games at once.
It works like this, IdleMaster idles all the games that have <2 hrs gametime at the same time. Once all those games hit the 2hr mark, the 1st cards of each game will drop, and in this case, that would be a lot of cards.
