If you haven't seen Zootopia yet- why not??
Saw it a couple of days ago with a friend, and I had medium expectations - it really is completely fantastic, I had no idea it would be that good.

Yes, I have seen it be used in this context many times before. From dictionary.com, one of the definitions is:
bitterly or sneeringly distrustful, contemptuous, or pessimistic
So indeed, you are a pessimist if you knock something before you try it.

not that i'm "knocking" it (i haven't seen the movie yet), the story could happen with humans , aliens , whatever , but disney chose animals because the furry fandom is rising and they want to reach more public ,I think . also I hate furries a bit for ruining some stuff i like and they're very weird , but the thing is , disney made the movie for money or there is something else behind that movie
i may edit the comment because , i still don't have a proper conclusion and i haven't seen the movie , if you think something is wrong feel free to talk i won't be aggressive

Well, while I agree Disney targeted the furries to squeeze some extra money out of a movie, the story would require quite a lot of alterations in order to make it work with anything except for animals.
There is a deeper meaning behind the movie Racism and stereotypes. Would not work with humans without changing the entire story.

Disney has a long history of animal movies so I don't know why people have such a problem with this particular one.
And I agree with InuKaT that movie could not be made with humans. It would cause too much drama around it and some things are easier to tell in kind of, um, unrealistic(?) enviroment.

but this one has only animals , and was made due to the furry fandom's grow

I dunno. Don't see many humans in The Lion King, Robin Hood, and Chicken Little. And many of the Mickey Mouse cartoons/movies didn't feature humans at all.
Ironic that a movie about accepting others is getting shot down by close-minded people.

Yep. People often confuse cause and effect and bind unrelated things.
Zootopia is movie about animals because:
And if you insist on making connection between it I would say that Disney made furry fandom (or at least had a big part in it) and this fandom like Zootopia cause animals not other way around (Disney made Zootopia becasue of furry fandom).
I'm personally like this because it was verry common in my earlier childhood. Lot's of movies and shows with more or less anthropomorfized animals.

I was very impressed with the movie, a lady friend and I went to see it, we both loved it.
So rare to see a movie that isn't just cliches, the main and female lead had no romance (ew, foxs and rabbits mating?), the humor was all clever and not at all talking down to kids, the ending was a good twist, though I did see it coming near the end.
Was thoroughly pleased with it, been a good time for movies, Deadpool is also amazing, probably my favorite super hero movie ever honestly. lol

I don't really understand the first sentence you said.
I still find interspecies mating a bit icky, maybe if we discover aliens some day, I'll sound like crazy old people do now bitching about interracial dating lol.

Wow, been a pretty active internet user for a long time and never seen that, learn something every day I suppose lol Thanks for the clarification.

My laptop broke last week and I had nothing to do for the past week while Lenovo is repairing it (during my March Break, so it threw off all my plans). Since I didn't have a proper gaming machine to keep me busy, I decided to go to the movies. Of course, I had to check out Disney's Zootopia, because a 99% on Rotten Tomatoes is nothing to sneeze it. Now, there's something about this movie... Just something that invoked me to see it twice in theaters (RIP wallet) and once on some sketchy streaming site that only had a camcorder quality version - all in one week. I've never experienced a movie that has hooked me like this.
The characters are very well written. The animation is spectacular. There are enough easter eggs and references for adults to enjoy the film., too There isn't a thing in this movie I would change. Of course, I do want to go see it again, but my wallet currently does not allow for that so I'll be waiting for the digital release sometime later this year
While we're here, I'm clearing out a few gifts from my inventory. First time using SGTools, so fingers crossed that I don't screw anything up.
Wanderlust: Rebirth
POSTAL 2
Transistor Soundtrack DLC
And here's the second Star Wars bundle I purchased by accident while trying to buy another tier 1 of the indie bundle.
Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga
Star Wars Rebellion
Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance
STAR WARS X-Wing vs TIE Fighter - Balance of Power Campaigns
And this:
Grim Fandango Remastered
Also for those who have seen the movie already - pls post some cute Judy/Nick pics ;-;
