So i've been playing a game made by mojang (the company who made minecraft) named Scrolls. The open beta was released one week ago and i was skeptical about it being developed by the same guys who made minecraft since i've had my dose of it, especially since all the notch fanboys where saying "OMG SCROLLS WAS MADE BY NOTCH ITS GENIUS OMGWTFBBQZZZZZZZZ" aaaaaaaaaaaaand i don't really care for who develops games, i give credit where credit is due, but i'm not gonna base my opinion on one guy who's previous game was a success, especially since they're different genres.
BUT after this rant i've got to tell you that this game... is pretty good. It reminds me of duel masters and magic the gathering.
I was wondering if anyone had played it aside from me so, i made a thread!

Here's the link to the scrolls website if you guys wanna check it out: Clicky Clicky

It may or may not.... i think they could actually partner with steam on this one, but i'm not sure.

I have the game and I find it to have a little too few cards at the moment. But then again, it is still a beta build.
I can recommend it for it's mechanics though, it's a very solid CCG with board game elements.

Yeah, I've been following Mojang's other games, and Scrolls doesn't seem too great. However, 0x10c looks awesome

Bought it shortly after the beta was released, it's pretty fun and very similar to Magic The Gathering. As Denhette said though, there's just not enough cards at the moment so you're pretty much bound to play with one of the 3 basic decks with very limited room for your own variations at this point... If they don't screw it up the game should be pretty good in a few months.

Definitely not what I would call an open beta. I'm not paying 21 dollars to try a game that I may or may not like.

Yeah, that part also got me skeptical, but i don't regret buying it =P
In the end its how much you like that kind of game and if you're willing to take a risk.

Not that I am a "fanboy" but Notch is pretty good. Not saying everything he touches will become gold. I probably would try scrolls at some point, but the card thing is a little bit of a turn-off for me, often card based computer games fall flat for me.
