mandatory poll for no reason
Yeah I do now that I noticed that IdleMaster successfully scammed me! :/

Whatever, switched to Archi's awesome archifarm tool which works so much better. And since then hadn't any drops missing.
One of the reasons why I coded ASF. IM hides pretty well Steam quirks, but doesn't solve them. ASF is not only aware of them, but does everything it can to fight with them, which includes not only so common things like request retries, but even detecting when steam is talking crap and it should not listen to it.
Steam is full of sh*t, I went through all of that when coding ASF, and I know pretty well that IM can't deal with that crap as it's on steam client mercy, unlike ASF which is deciding on it's own how to talk with steam network. People claiming that IM works for them are either unaware of the issue, or lucky enough to not notice any abnormal situations (and those are happening so frequently that I just had enough of that).

I'm studying computer science, and enjoy that there's still people like you who take their time to keep coding things like these.
Love how ASF doesn't need the client anymore. I'm suprised that not more people use ASF, considering the pros and just how foolproof the wiki is.

Most people are simply unaware of the problem, they will keep using IM until it finally breaks and stops working. People prefer to keep using obsolete unsupported and deprecated software because they're familiar with it, and spend hours solving it's problems instead of switching to alternative, just because.
I'm visiting IM discussions on Steam from time to time and I'm asking myself why those people are posting their issues nobody cares about there a dozen times per day, instead of spending the same amount on time on fixing them by changing software. I can't believe those people never heard of ASF, as other users are even telling them to do that. People love to make their life harder for them.

Reminds me of using Windows 98 on one of my systems until a few months ago.
But the saying "Never change a running system." certainly doesn't apply to IM.
Guess it's a question of trust issues or just human masochistic behaviour. :D

Norton gives me a trojan warning on Idlemaster
Asf is great (thx JustArchi)

Interesting, I had to whitelist the entire directory for ASF as it was flagged with a false positive by Norton.
Although, come to think of it, I think so was IdleMaster when I started to use it.
Eh, doesn't matter now. Subscription ran out two days ago, using avast now until I get my new rig and a Kaspersky IS with it.

ASF was falsely detected as a trojan too at some point, and the root cause turned out to be ILRepack tool I use for repacking the final binary so everything is contained in a single exe.
That issue was solved at least since 2.0.2+, probably even a few versions before - it should not be affecting anybody anymore.

Norton only blocked my network conection with ASF
But with Idlemaster it deleted the executables

I hope so. Manually added them all to my 10h idling list now. Can only be a bug indeed.

I only noticed the missing cards when I used http://www.steamtradematcher.com/
Guess it's just a display bug and idlemaster thought there were no drops left.

Well, have you checked for duplicates? If you have collected multiples of the same card, as it is usually the case, it only counts as 1. Maybe Steam should change the text to something as "2 of 5 different cards collected" to solve this.
I imagine that you have added any foil cards that dropped!

Was my first thought as well, considering that it does happen that you sometimes drop 4 duplicates and it reads "1 of 7 collected".
However, I found out about it when actually trading my duplicates.

Been idling a few dozen games with IdleMaster. Turns out that all the games are missing 1-4 card drops, while wrongly saying "No card drops remaining."
Counted a total of 140 cards missing. Most of them are 3/5 which only gave me 2/5 (90 games with that pattern). There's also some with 2-4 cards missing. For normal I wouldn't care, but that's like 10$ in drops I never received. Yes, I'm sure I haven't sold exactly one card of all those 3/5 sets.
At first I thought they changed the amount of card drops in general, but then I actually played a game that had drops remaining and got the usual 3/5.
Is this a known bug? Can I do something about it? Do I blame IdleMaster or Volvo?
Is it just a display bug and once I play the game manually I get the remaining drops? Even though I had idled it for 5-8h?!
Whatever, switched to Archi's awesome archifarm tool which works so much better. And since then hadn't any drops missing.
/edit Found out that it's indeed a display bug on the steam client. Logged myself in on another computer, and it showed the correct remaining drops number. Weird. Never going to use IdleMaster again.
