hi everyone , hope you're doing fine
i wanted to ask about a problem im facing related to my rtx 2060 fans.
it was working fine for 6 months now but last night while i was gaming the fans kicked to full speed ( the temp was 60°c and the fan speed i was setting was 35% around 1300rpm ).
-rebooting my pc kinda fix it but the fans keep spinning at low speed but my gpu has 0 rpm mode ( so basically that mode is gone ) and temp reach 60°c the fans kick to max speed again with no way to control it ( used to control them with msi afterburner )
-if i try to control the fans with msi afterburner they kick to max speed directly but my gpu show 0rpm while the fans are spinning .
-did everything , ddu and clean new driver install, old driver, removing msi afterburner, resetting the gpu ...ect but nothing worked except for removing the fans cable from the connector fixed it but after sometime the problem came back again .
i think my fans are dying or dead or worse the gpu ;c , while waiting for my new fans to arrive i want to know if anyone had an info about this problem
also !!

Could be corrupted GPU firmware or faulty fan controller chip. If you know what you're doing you could try to flash a new firmware but do not forget to make a dump of the original before attempting this. Unfortunately I can't recommend a qualified repair technician in Algeria but you could ask at Northwestrepair's discord provided you can't do micro soldering yourself.

im not really comfortable doing a firmware flash , i will wait for the new fans to arrive and test them ( hope its just the fans gone bad ) if the problem persist i will send it to a repair shop
also i removed the fans and slapped 2 120mm fans on it to keep it cool while gaming , they are hooked to pc case fans controller
and funny enough when i set fans speed with msi afterburner , the gpu shows the fan speed in percentage ( but since no fans are attached to it nothing happen ) my point is when i try to do it with the gpu fans they go wild and spin at max speed

Your description of the problem doesn't hint at failing GPU fans. This would manifest itself e.g. in rattling noises when the fan bearing is EOL. You could try to uninstall Afterburner and re-install the newest version which might fix incompatibilities. Besides make sure your chipset drivers are on the latest version.
If this doesn't make a difference (it won't probably but you never know) your best bet is a repair shop as you said you don't have the necessary skill level to attempt a repair yourself successfully. Depending on the cost of repair you might be better off to sell your old GPU as is and buy a new one. But that's for you to decide.

will wait for the new fans to do more testing to pinpoint where the problem is coming from
if its the gpu and the fix is costly i might just leave the 2 case fans attached to it since they are doing a nice job cooling the gpu

What about checking the thermal paste on the gpu? If the fans used to idle but now they don't maybe the thermal paste is done for and now it's ineffective meaning the gpu gets hotter even at idle and fans kick in even in idle to keep it cool enough.

i did a fresh thermal past , temp never go above 65°c
also my gpu has 0 rpm mode but after the problem appered that mode is gone , now fans only spin at low rpm and max rpm

I must say right away that this is one of the possible reasons.
Connector of the cooling control system - control wire - poor contact of the wire in the terminal.
My brother had such a problem, disassembling the terminal and re-crimping the wire helped him.
