Well, it's not about being a genius but it's a puzzle game, it takes time on some levels where you have to think it through but other times you can fly through levels.
I played it for 5 hours so a bit longer than 4 hours but I also went for all achievements which really got annoying xD

I saw howlongtobeat was already mentioned, but I quite like http://steamplaytime.appspot.com too. It uses your steamid to get your personal data. The average times are from howlongtobeat too, but it's nice to see your own time spent and your own games already listed ;)

The Crysis 3 campaign was like, 3 hours, wasn't it?

Too many games can be beaten in less than 4 hours. After compliting Mass Effect 1 like ~10 times, I twice beated it in 2.5 hours. Speedrunners do it constantly with most of the games.
Complition time depenss only on you. Even game The Graveyard, that you can end in few minutes, can last much longer if you wont rush to the end.
Try out "You Have To Burn The Rope".

For some this would be EVE Online: you'll pretty much know within 4 hours if it's a game for you or not....

Dear Esther. Took me 1.5 hours and I took my time looking at everything. Its very artistic and poetic, and a very neat game. At first I thought it seemed dumb because there was no objective and you can't run, pick up objects, jump, or do anything other than walk. After playing more of it I started to realize that those characteristics actually fit the game pretty well. Its kind of like you're playing through someones dream. The cave level is beautiful. It looks really awesome. I wouldn't pay the normal $10 for a 1.5 hour game, but if its in a bundle or on sale for cheap then its worth it. Its very unique.

Super Hexagon? ;D
I recall spending about 4 or maybe 5 hours on my first playthrough of Homefront back in the day. It's got a pretty awesome story for a FPS.

I'm a really slow game player because I like to explore, so take the average gameplay time and double it, and that's how long the game will take me.

I completed Medal of Honor in just under 4 hours. Must've been the shortest FPS campaign I've ever played. I'm glad I got it in the Origin Bundle and not at full price.

I've completed Gears of Wars 2 in less than 5 hours a few years on 360. On steam it was The Darkness 2 (I have more hours as I'm playing a diferent mod)

i'm not sure if "The Binding of Isaac" would count.
you should be able to kill mom during the first 4 hours...but the game's core essence is it's replayability.
anyways, all the classic/sidescrolling Super Mario games were totally worth my time.

But Mom isn't even the last boss, Mom's Heart,Krampus and Isaac are after it

I think these were all listed already, but a few that I've completed and recommended on Steam are:
Others I completed and remember being short include:
I really like the idea of this thread. I generally don't have lots of time to play games, so knowing which ones are shorter is a big help. It means I should be able to finish the game in one or two sittings instead of needing to find time over many days or weeks to complete it. I tried to compile the responses here into a list for my own reference, but I'd be willing to share it if others can suggest a good way to do so. That is, if the original poster doesn't already plan to update the first post with everyone's suggestions.

I've had such gaming ADD lately, that the games I seem to enjoy the most and actually complete, are those that are completed in just a couple hours (though many have replay value through unlocks, different modes, etc). Even if they're not the best games, it's nice to get a game "out of the backlog" and actually finish something. Care to share some decent games in this category? I'm sure I own some others. Here's some that I've completed.
