Want to get off some blacklists? (Or want to clean out your blacklist?)

No sure who's blacklists I'm on, but pretty sure I deserved it. I made someone's feel bads hurt. :( Poor wittle guys

I gotta say, I do like the new stats page, but I feel like they will bring more blacklist drama to the site :/

I'm only on 29 BL, which given the number of times I've said things that aren't particularly diplomatic is surprising, and given that I blacklist more people than that (mostly for rules violations) it's an impressively low number.

OP you are on my blacklist. You had by your own admission a bit of disaster when you joined but I think/hope you learned your lesson. You seem to be trying to make up for it. I do review my blacklist and if you continue as you are I will almost certainly remove you soon. Can I ask how many blacklists you are on? If you don't want answer that is fine.

Everything about my blacklist is kind of arbitrary.

Gone through stages when I've cared more about keeping a blacklist, had fairly clear guidelines of when I'd add someone and stuck with it. When doing that I'd also try to give people a chance to get off the list.

A few times I've decided to remove everyone for the hell of it.

Gone through phases where I hardly add anyone. I'm this kind of phase now and have been for 6 months or more, got 5 people on there now. Will likely remove everyone again at some pooint.

Overall it's very unlikelysomeone will remain on my blacklist forever, be that through redeeming themeselves as it were, or because I remove everyone anyway.

I have never blacklisted anyone. Now, thanks to the statistics I just got to know I was blacklisted twice, fhe first one the day I started using steamgits and the second one the day right after it. Never tried to enter a GA and found out I'm blacklisted by the creator, so not a big deal I guess.

PS: I changed my username and that made SGtools think I entered a private GA with a leaked link, what leaded the creator to blacklist me and then unblacklist when we discovered what happened, so I guess it doesn't count.

10 people have BL-ed me up until now and I only knew 2 or maybe 3, and even from those only one has even just hinted me of it. I don't know why those people never told me what their problem was, but yeah, it's fine.

I'm on 15 people's blacklist atm , a few i know why .
i don't really care for a removal , but i would love to know exactly why!

4 people on my blacklist and there is no way for them to get out there, I'm just done with them.
I don't blacklist people because of rule braking/leaching/opinions. First two can be handled by sgtools and last should never end anyone on nobody's blacklist.

I'm blacklisted 15 times for reasons unknown to me, but then again, I really don't care that much.

EDIT: Just noticed one of who blacklisted me, so I'm repaying him the favor (this is the type that can be removed).

today i got BL twice and idk why,, actually it don't care being BL i need more haters because I have too little point to enter all giveaways
usually i don't blacklist anyone,, now i have 2 people in my BL ,, 1 Suspended forever 1 break the rules and both will be un blacklisted next year
but when i Discover the people that blacklisted me the black list will be Permanent

I think almost all of the 22 blacklists I'm on, were done in revenge. But for those that did it for other reasons, I'd just like to know why so I can improve and/or apologise. :p

I'm in 5 blacklists and only know the reason for one.

It's your black list and you're entitled to your own rules for who gets put on it, but I this kind of struck me as odd:

I feel that you should only BL people who break site rules or are total dicks, not people you disagree with (assuming they aren't either of the first two)

Doesn't that contradict what you said in your first sentence?

I'll find someone who deserves to be on mine (usually if you have more than 2 wins, fewer than 100 comments, and/or no games given).

I have a small blacklist of people that have been caught breaking the rules too many times and I feel got too light of a punishment. Apparently I'm on 3 blacklists and I have no idea why. The only thing I can think of is that I don't post a message on every giveaway I enter, and that upsets some people, but it also upsets some people if you do post on giveaways. I don't post generic comments, but occasionally will make a comment, especially if it's a game on my wish list. I prefer people not post generic comments on giveaways I create because of the barrage of notifications, but I won't blacklist anyone for doing or not doing it. I've thanked the creator of every giveaway I've won. When someone wins one of my giveaways, a thanks is appreciated, but I won't blacklist someone for not doing it. I don't care about other people's win/giveaway ratio or number of comments. It doesn't even bother me that I'm on 3 blacklists. I never would have known if it weren't for the new stats page, but it does make me curious.

I don't make a huge number of giveaways, but I do occasionally throw some out there. I've been here 4 years. I participated a bit in the early days, then went away for a while and came back. Until recently I'd never given away a bundled game (two were bundled later), which got me to level 3 with only 4 giveaways. I also don't enter a lot of giveaways, and I only enter for games that I want. I am guilty of not having played a lot of the games I won, but I assure you they are on my list. I'm currently recovering from an injury that makes it painful to use the mouse with my right hand. It's a slow recovery (going on over 6 months), so I haven't been able to play a lot of games recently.

I'm not a big forum participant either. I check the site 2-3 times a day, once in the morning, once at night before going to bed and sometimes another time during the day. If I have the time I read the forums, but I rarely post in random stuff (like this). I usually post answers if someone has a question that I can help with, which probably explains the 6 white lists I'm on.

Can people get off your blacklist?

people that posted stupid stuff and now act better on the forums, maybe.

the rest, no. and i don't blacklist for rule-breaking.

I only have 5 people on my blacklist. Four for being (extremly) rude to me on the trade section and one who has been scamming me (but is banned). I dont like to put people on the blacklist for other reasons

Can I put everyone who has been nice to me on the whitelist? Or do you need a different reason?

I clean my blacklist today. Deleted like 5 or 6 profiles.

I mainly blacklist for rule breaking in some rare cases if i feel like my giveaway would be in vain or will go someone who doesn't even care. But you are on my BL and I don't know why and seems you try to do something nice. I will remove you from my BL but I usually do +2 level giveaways. Hope you can join some time.

i blacklist for one simple reason (well 2 buts its pretty much the same but i'll include under 1) u won a ga from me and your ratio is a clear indicator you are a leacher.... that explain why u arent on my bl xD as for would i remove ppl from blacklist? sure i check every now and then if the users on my black list keep leeching or not if not and provided they have an acceptable ratio for me i remove bl.... pretty much cause i'm broke as hell and know it can take some (long) time to fix ratios for some ppl only exception on my bl is a certain sg user who is annoying as hell whenever he pops in forums

I've literally only blacklisted regifters so far.
