I'm disappointed. Fish's actions are very immature and I mistakenly expected better of him. I don't see Daisuke Amaya or Nicklas Nygren acting this way.

Fez was a terrible game.

He greatly overextended himself with Fez. It was the Duke Nukem Forever of indie titles. He should have pared back the ideas, maybe launched with a smaller amount of content for a smaller price. Raise the price slowly as more content is added, giving previous buyers that content for free. This would have drowned out much of the criticism he earned by bashing so many other games.

For the record, I also believe that Japanese games suck. But just as Phil likely meant, I mean today's Japanese games. I haven't seen a large amount that I've liked since the late 90s. JAPAN, Y U NO MAKE GOOD GAMES ANYMORE?

Well, thanks for all the fish I guess (yeah, I suck and I made a whole other topic on this, so I'll just copypaste it here).

Now, I never really commented on this guy too much before because I didn't see him much different from anyone. He talks shit back to people who provoke him for no good reason? Yeah, might as well, I'd do the same. However, I do agree that he was unnecessary harsh at some points which has made the majority of people hate him.

This, on the other hand, is just infantile. Leaving the industry behind because he can't handle shitposting, let alone criticism, is not something that I could justify. How the hell are the other devs dealing with this kind of stuff?

Any developers lurking on these forum that has to deal with similar stuff? How do you handle it if I may ask?

Phil can be a drama queen but he did a good game and also complain about developers paying money for update their games on xbox which is a good thing, even if he hates japonese game or something isnt reason to hate him or want to him commit suicide, whats wrong with you guys?

I haven't bought or even played Fez so I could care less for a Fez 2. Seriously unless it is in one of those lovely indie bundles I love so much I will probably never own it.

Fez had a record sale in steam summer sale much more than initial steam release these guys are loaded also creators from Super Meat Boy are letting it slide. The same with Minecraft Notch doesn't care anymore he is married and wealthy.

This is in my opinion a case that shows what's wrong with the gaming community, where both sides are crazy. He was a douche and I guess he should have seen it coming when he keeps talking shit like that, but there were many people who seemed that their sole purpose in life was to insult and abuse him.

The dude is a jerk and loves starting drama, but Fez is a good game. Maybe he's saying it's cancelled so he can work on Fez 2 in peace. Who cares if you didn't like the guy, I don't even like the guy, but I'm not going to let some outside thing ruin my experience with a good game.
