Problem with Skype.

Well since i updated to the latest Skype version 6.0 i have problem with the notification sounds. When someone sends me a message it doesent play the pop sound, when someone calls or i call him it doesnt play the ringing sound,but in video calls i can hear the others.I've checked everything, speaker config ,skype settings, reseted to default the skype settings, uninstalled and reinstalled it and still have the problem. Checked on google and skype forum for solution but nothing helped. If you have any ideas i ll be glad to hear them.
OS: Windows 7 64bit.

Well, older versions of skype didnt solve the problem.

...cant figure this shit out...

The only solution i can think of too...but i dont want to be old fashion :P . And is really bugging that i cant find and fix the problem.

Considering Microsoft is now at the helm of Skype and is beginning forced MSN rollover, I'd just get used to problems with all current and future versions. Enjoy the new MSN (Microsoft Skype Network) :P

I've always had problems with Skype in general.
I only use it cause there are some contacts I have that refuse to use other services. (Mostly because it's linked in their Android Phone so they can keep in touch on the go.)

AzureFang pretty much summed it up, since it's now a Microsoft Product, it's going to be as 'stable' as Windoze ever was...

My Skype has the most annoying bugs ever.

Whenever someone messages me, it keeps jumping to the middle of the conversation, instead of the most recent.
So I have to keep scrolling down to see it...

Also, Skype keeps pending my messages as if though the other person was offline. But they are indeed online and trying to chat wiht me.
It's really getting on my nerves.

It happens to me too times to times those problems.Sometimes it shows that i have unread messages from someone when i have already read them.Everything was better 3-4 years ago when everyone was just using msn.

Did you try removing the skype folder under %appdata%? First making sure skype is closed. Though I guess resetting to default meant exactly this.

Also try unticking "use port 80 and 443 alternative". And make sure the button under sounds says "mute all sounds"

Yes, thats what i did to reset it to default. I tried your suggestion and still the same :/ . Sounds are enabled, speakers are properly configured and skype settings too, but even from the sound settings where you can play the sounds of the notifications, when i press the play button i hear nothing...

Buh, sure you have "Speakers" or the current working audio output selected under Audio Settings? Also might not be running as administrator?

yeah man. if it was a 3d object i would possible looking at its molecules right now... tried everything. I guess i should install an older version that is working till they fix this.
