People aren't actually trying to doubt that Half-Life 3 will ever be an entity, are they? Valve has stated that it'll come when it's ready, and we can speculate with fair accuracy that it'll come using Source 2 in 2015/16 or so.

HL3 was confirmed a long time ago, the thing is that it's not going to be released any time soon because it's never really ready for the hype people create for it.

According to Valve's announcements,Dota 2 was supposed to get released on early 2012 but it finally did on 2013..!Keep that in mind and wonder when HL3 will get released :)

It's been officially confirmed to be in development a long time ago and many, many times.

I doubt Half life 3 will ever be released. It might be called something else, but I doubt it will be Half Life 3. Half life 3 is sort of an identity of Valve now. If they release it, they will lose that identity. It's the fan's fault really for making a big deal of it.

In case it wasn't already mentioned. The * (Asterisk) means that the post was edited. That means he could have asked any question where he expected a "yes" and edit the post afterwards asking for Half-Life3. Stupid media is jumping on it without confirming it directly with GabeN or Valve.
