Of course I can only speak for myself but I leveled up and I still consolidate my last level because I like making and entering giveaways and trains. π Also the SG AI is as unpredictable as luck is. π

Yes. Say you get level 10. Well there's probably less than 200 level 10s and if someone makes a level 10 only giveaway your chances are way better than say if you're level 5.

yeah ok, that's quite obvious. the question is: since the effort/number of games you have to give away increases a lot after level 5, is how much chanches of winning increase? is it really worth?
from what I can see there not so many lv5+ GA to enter, so the increased chanches might be not worth.

yes of course. I meant that should be some way to increase to number of giveaways for higher levels. for example, lowest levels should only be able to create GAs for the highest levels (it's just the first example that cae to my mind though....)

As to your question. Don't forget your level naturally falls over time so you're gonna have to keep gifting a bit just to maintain it :)

IMO level 5 is most convenient level. It doesn't cost so much and you can enter about 95 % private giveaways. But with higher level is your chances to win the games you want higher, for sure, just it is not so much convenient because it costs really a lot of money. It's on you. But don't forget that there are also whitelists and they are often more than just a high level. The more giveaways you make, the more whitelists you get. That's why it is good to make giveaways even on level 10.

if you level up just to increase your odds, you're better off buying games for yourself. π
unless you can get free games like those groups with developer keys, there's no point in reaching lv10, there's barely any giveaways for high levels. https://www.steamgifts.com/stats/community/giveaways
