hello as we all know valve has locked all games into some regions including my region. But I want to know if i buy a DLC of a game (War Thunder) in my store and activated it to my steam library to get a cd key (or should it give a cd key?). If it gives a cd key can i able to redeem the key in a game's website to still get the items in my account? On website is international but i'm wondering only if the key works or not.

Thank you

it shouldn't give cd key..once you redeem game in library, cd key is automatically used and shown to you in pop up when ever you start game.(like in Dead island epidemic)

i think war thunder will be the same.

No, it isn't automatically used. For example, I bought Final Fantasy XIV (The MMO) and is showed me the key. I had to redeem it manually.

If what you buy comes in the form of a key then you should be able to use it on the website, if there are no regional restrictions to that particular game and you're playing on a different region.

When I played City of Heroes it was on the US version and Steam gave me an EU code for an expansion. NCsoft got it changed in the end.

keys bought from retailer will give you the game in library no matter what. like Nosgoth,East india company gold, knights and merchants
operation flashpoint:red river whose keys when you activate in steam you'll get them in library, will be able to play them but won't be able to access steam store page cuz of regional lock.
