I just sent a BioShock humble bundle gift url to a friend except he never got it and now the page is stating that it has been claimed. I've contacted support and hopefully they can do something about it.

Has this happened to anyone else before?

Might have gone to his/her junkmail. Your friend also need a humble bundle account for gift to work if I remember well.

They checked their spam too but it wasn't there either, they don't have an account so I guess that could be the problem.

Is your "friend" trustworthy? I'm asking because this issue is very odd, and you say the gift is shown as claimed... which, by the way, it shouldn't.

go to you sent folder and make sure his email is spelt correctly, off by one letter or number and it's a completely different person.

Exactly what I was thinking. That's the only reason it would show up as claimed. Unless your friend got it and just said he didn't, but if it was a gift, then that would be pointless.

If it shows claimed, and he never open it-maybe he put wrong email, and he send it to someone else? But...its 1/100000 chances that 1 letter change=other Steam player...

I also didn't receive a reply email from humble when I won a game today, had to use the key resender to get it.

One of my games, (Mafia II), I was saving but ended up gifting to a friend, I believe it was an Serial Number activation, (but could easily have been URL instead), but when he tried to redeem it, it said it had already been activated in an account. It didn't say WHICH account had it, and I know it's not my copy of Mafia II as I got it beforehand, hence me giving the game to him.
This was about 2 or 3 months ago now, I think and I emailed HumbleBundle, (I'm almost positive the bundle was theirs), and have not yet had any kind of response whatsoever. Not a "Yes, Can I help? Of course you can have a valid activation, it would be our pleasure to help maintain a steady revenue from satisfied customers and the problem, we have since found, was a mistake where several bundles received the same activation link/Serial Number", not a "No, sorry the problem isn't at our end", not even a "Fuck you, bitch, we've got your money, what do you think you insignificant little cockroaches are going to do? Eh?"
