i had the key number 478somethin after 1 refresh there where 3000 left and after another refresh 400 and after another there was only void

I got my code in around 1 min after it started :D The refresh was sooo slow XD. Too bad it's region locked, i hope they unlock those keys or something like that (they said they are going to look in to it on twitter ^^ !).

AFAIK, Steam changed their TOS, you will no longer get banned, but the account will be permanently "locked" (no trading, no activating new games).

But yes, using a VPN is against the Steam TOS.

If you got a key, go http://raptr.com/rewards/dead-island-pc
Take the key and try redeeming it again.
The license is named 'Dead Island GOTY NA/ROW' where ROW means 'Rest of The World'. Should work in otherwords.

I was lucky enough to get a key. There were problems with region lock, but now the keys work for everyone.

I don't understand people who are crying about not getting keys. I know it might be sad for them, since they were waiting for the event for a long time, but some of these people are really exaggerating it.

I almost didn't qualify too. If it wasn't for L4D2 I won here, I wouldn't even have a chance to qualify. I was being really lucky lately, and I hope luck will stay with me for a while.

And by crying people, I meant guys who went bitching on raptr forums about not winning, calling it unfair, telling to make another giveaway, and even writing petition to raptr to give the keys to everyone(or something like that). Seriously, the level of silliness and childishness of these people is out of this world.

You mean L4D2? Yes, it has multiplayer. It's mainly multiplayer. But with my crappy connection it was a little hard to play.

Yep, 18 hours/achievments in a multiplayer game is nothing hard to get. Maybe they'll learn from their mistakes and the next raptr giveaway will be harder to qualify to.

I think that was part of the point. Going with the whole zombie theme, to qualify you were supposed to be somewhat involved in a game that was on their list of select zombie games, and not just farm false game time in order to enter. Although I'm not sure what BF3 and Borderlands 2 were doing on the list.

Used 5 browsers ( 1x Chrome, 1x Opera, 3x Firefox ) + Desktop App, managed to grab a key. After i saw that it was Europe restricted i gave it away to a random american guy i chose from raptr forums who complained like a gentleman about not being able to get it. Needless to say that he was extremely happy.

And i think that if the servers worked well, the keys would be gone in maximum 2 minutes.
