Games like Darksiders, DmC, Enslaved... probably tons of others that I can't think of off-hand.

What is the "easiest" one? Meaning, the easiest to beat on the hardest difficulty and (if it has them) easiest to get all of the achievements in? I generally suck at these kinds of games, but I love achievements and wouldn't mind getting into the genre a little more without necessarily diving in head first.

None of these suggestions are hack n slash at all. MGR:R is pretty easy, just parry everything, DmC is also pretty easy, but there aren't many hack n slash games on steam that I know of.

I found Rise of the Argonauts to be easy and enjoyable. If your HP gets low, you just have to dodge for awhile and you'll heal up, so even the hardest difficulty wasn't bad at all.

I cannot attest to the quality of the PC port though, I played the Xbox 360 version and have 100%ed it and I very much enjoyed it. PC version lacks achievements but likely still has the in game challenge of completing the constellations to feed your achievement hunting needs.

Dark Souls isn't really a hack and slash.

What's the trick to MGR:R... out of all of them that I have, it was by far the hardest. Couldn't get past the first full mission lol.

If you know how to block and parry then the game isn't too difficult even on the hardest difficulty setting and counter damage goes up with difficulty which makes the hardest the easiest if you parry everything.

If you're looking for a easy game, then why you want to go to the hardest difficulty? Since you said: What is the "easiest" one? Meaning, the easiest to beat on the hardest difficulty. If you want a game to be easy then play on easy difficulty...

Anyways, Dynasty Warriors and Lollipop Chainsaw if you have a console.

Achievements often require playing on the hardest difficulty.

Ok then, but a game on hard is supposed to be hard. I still recommend those two, especially Dynasty Warriors.

I'm looking for the easiest of the hard, so to speak.

For example... I believe Dead Space 2 on the hardest difficult severely limits the number of saves/checkpoints throughout the game, making it notoriously difficult on the hardest difficulty. That is contrary to a similar game like Resident Evil 6, that even on the hardest difficulty is still pretty reasonable.

And I don't have a console. Thanks though.
