Hi again everyone!
Since I noticed you enjoyed my last train full of point-and-click games, I've decided to create another one, but this time there'll be mainly leftovers I have from the last humble bundles.
Towards the end, you'll find 4 "surprises": they're games that really impressed me recently and I enjoyed playing (or are at the top of my wishlist). I'm more than glad to give the opportunity to try them to you, hoping you'll like them!
The train is for level 3+ and it's protected with Sgtools. It will last six days.

But before I write the link to the train, I have a question for you: can you tell me which is your "hidden gem", the game you enjoyed the most in the last period but that's very underrated in your opinion? It doesn't matter if it's a cheap indie game or an AAA+ title... I'll surely take note of most of them and add them to my wishlist, like I did last time!

Here we go, ENJOY THE RIDE!

Hue was surprisingly AWESOME game. I've had a blast. Interesting concept of using colors to solve puzzles forwarded with a good and diverse level design.

I usually didn't play puzzle games, but this one looks awesome (as you said)! Thanks for the suggestion.

Bump for greatness!

EDIT 1: Oh, wait, a hidden gem...

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter

Ok, I guess it did get quite some recognition, but I thought it was superb!

And, see, it is hidden!

EDIT 2: Oh, you have played that, no? Maybe then:

Crypt of the Necrodancer

It is an excellent rhythm-RPG game mix-up.... But what really really makes it shine for me is their amazing sense of humor.

Cheers!

Yeah, you're right. I've already played The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and I recommend it to everyone who still hasn't. Thanks for the other game suggested!

I'm not sure if I would call it a hidden gem, but Lords of Waterdeep was recently released on Steam and I cannot get enough of it.

Thanks! I saw it on the Steam store yesterday and I was wondering...will it be too difficult or not?

It's a fairly faithful adaptation of the popular board game. It comes with a fairly thorough tutorial, so you should be able to pick it up quickly.

Bump and thanks for a great train, Ernesttico!
As a tower defense fan, I'll recommend GemCraft and Creeper World. They might seem cheap at first glance, especially the flash style graphic, but once you're in, quite addictive. Not to mention Defense Grid and Kingdom Rush, they're great and already quite popular.

Thanks for the suggestions! They indeed seem addictive! Since you're a tower defense fan, have you tried Yet Another Zombie Defense HD? It always appears in my discovery queue, that's why I'm curious about it.

I've tried the original Yet Another Zombie Defense, not quite into it, lack of variety in gameplay. Maybe they improve it in HD or I need to spend more time, I'm not sure.

I haven't played many games of this kind, so I name you my "tower defense games mentor" and you cannot refuse my designation. XD
All joking aside, thanks again!

Stranded, ratings are abysmal and it is very short with little gameplay but has fantastic and perfectly fitting music. Somehow the game ended up making a lasting impression on me.

I recommend waiting for a sale, not really worth $7 but sub $1 it's ok. Instead I invested $3 into buying the soundtrack on bandcamp afterwards ;-)

Wow, that is one heck of a train Ernesttico, many thanks :) My hidden gem recently was Hector : Badge of Carnage that I won, I see you have you have it, It's really kind of a raunchy game but for me it was really good and full of laughs.

Thanks for the train and as for hidden gem I'd have to say:

Anima - Gate of Memories
Even though it looked kind of nice when entering..if I hadn't won it I probably would never have bought/played it.

In the end I even replayed it a couple times to see all endings the game had to offer and get all achievements (which I rarely do).

It is a pretty cool Action RPG with a captivating story and a nice combat system which really lets you play different styles depending on what you skill and which of the both characters (whom you can switch infight via right mouse) you like more for different situations.
Every enemy and Boss requires (more of less) a different strategie to kill.and dodge is always your friend. Bosses also have their own backstory which you need to collect to unlock them.

Sadly it's voice acting isn't the best and a lot of people were either too dumb/stubborn to learn the combat-system (which isn't that hard) or didn't like it at all and thus it only got a 75% positive rating on steam and only about 18.5k people own it - though i guess that is not that bad considering it only got kickstarted by 1.8k people and was developed by 3 people.

Thanks for the detailed description of the game, I added it to my wishlist. After seeing the trailer it seems it's a great action RPG with some hack & slash dynamics. I'd probably never have heard of it, if you hadn't mentioned it here, so thanks a lot!

I've recently installed Gwent and have had a ball playing that, learning the cards, the tactics etc. Not Steam but thought it deserved a mention.

I'm a regular Hearthstone player and I've seen some streamers playing Gwent on Twitch. It looks like it's complicated compared to the Blizzard's game but somewhat more immersive and it also requires more accurate choices. Can you confirm it? (even if I don't know if you've ever played Hearthstone XD)

Haven't played Hearthstone so can't compare it. There are a lot of cards to learn as well as the basic game mechanics and some of them are a little complicated or confusing but trial and error is the best way to learn. I have concentrated on using one deck and seem to be winning more now than losing, probably why I am enjoying it so much. Get a real sense of accomplishment on a win, especially when you pull those last couple of cards to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

But before I write the link to the train, I have a question for you: can you tell me which is your "hidden gem", the game you enjoyed the most in the last period but that's very underrated in your opinion? Tormentum - Dark Sorrow

Saw it was already on your wishlist, but for the uninitiated the description alone should alone should be more than enough to seed an interest.

" TORMENTUM is a dark Point & Click adventure game. The dreamlike, nightmarish atmosphere of the game was inspired by works of painters H.R. Giger and Zdzislaw Beksinski. The game's final look and feel was also strongly influenced by the universes of games such as Demon's Souls or Dark Seed. "

The mechanics themselves are of course what you expect from the genre so aptly identified by its name, but it's really the crazy style and atmosphere that will drive you forward. The influences shout their names loudly from this magnificent, ominous artwork--and while such a presence stands prominent and clear, it never overshadows the emergent style or darkens it as simply derivative. The familiar atmosphere lends well to this melted execution and brings to life an atmosphere uniquely defined from the games surrounding it.

I'd absolutely love for more "point and click" games to absolutely go balls to the wall with the aspects that are fairly open to change from game to game. Whether its more "dark fantasy" or something else, there's such potential from experimentation to address this underlying craving for loud, boisterous settings and premises that are unlike anything the genre has ever seen.

Wow! I admit I was fascinated by the marvellous artwork shown on the trailer, a long while ago. and I decided to add it to my wishlist. After your little review I'm more than convinced to buy it as soon as it'll be discounted again. Thanks a lot!

That's a hidden gem indeed. I've a boxed version of the game here, next to my desktop, that I bought in 2004. I remember it was quite outstanding particularly since in that period everyone was mainly focused on AAA titles like Half-Life 2 and Doom 3 and it was a real surprise...
