I personally liked it more than X. Played it way more as well thanks to X-2 having "New Game+"

That doesn't save it from being one of the worst FF games ever released.

AND 9!

The fact that it's being released so quickly after XIII doesn't instill much confidence in me that they've done a better job of porting this one.

Read the store page. It's going to have all the options people wanted with XIII AT LAUNCH.
Also, it comes with ALL the DLC. You know, the DLC I spent over $70 buying seperately on the PS3 as they were released, in addition to the $59.99 for the base game (collector's edition)?

$17.99 is a fucking STEAL.

I would presume they don't have the source code anymore, and a port was never made back in the day like 7 and 8 were. (Which also have no source code, and are running in a wrapper to add Steam features to the old exe)

9 seems to be the forgotten one, I personally would like to see it on PC, but I do have it on PSN for my PSP.

It never had a PC version and most likely never will. Buy it on ebay and play it with an emulator.

Seems to be a trend of PC ports of console games to include all the DLC.

While I don't care both FF13,13-2, but why Asian version is more expensive than US/PAL and no English voice? There's no reason to buy Asian version at all.

Glad to see so many pc ports nowadays. Be it bad or good port, publishers have started to recognize pc as potential platform again. Also most of the gamers are happy about it (Just look at Valkyria Chronicles, top selling game atm).

FF13's port was trash. It took them a month to have a prompt come up asking if you want to insta quit instead of esc automaticly instaquiting you. Then they didn't even have proper graphics options and they're adding it in December? FF13-2 lists a bunch of PC basic functions almost as perks. Like really? Indie titles have these options and yet the great multi-billion dollar company can't put them in? Yea I'm skipping this title until I know it's perfectly fine.

I think you might want to play FF XIII as it follows up in that story from what I see

Definitely play FFXIII first. It's a direct sequel and the plot's pretty convuluted. You don't need to play anything else though, as each numbered FF takes place in a different world and follows its own story. They only share a few lore elements.

Honestly, I think he could just read the plot of the first game and jump straight into this one. The plot is so different from the first one that it could have been a different number by itself. I think they did it this way to make you more attached to the characters, but they could have used a similar plot in a different setting and replaced Lightning and Serah with two other characters.

Perhaps it might have even benefitted the game with all the FFXIII hate that exists.

Technically XV (XVI? 15, I guess.) is in the same world, and so it Type-0, BUT, they're different stories that don't really link much.

The only thing I'd like to know is where Gran Pulse and Cocoon fit into XVI's and Type-0's stories.

Those two, though, I'm sure are on the same world, but I could be wrong/.

I don't think they share the same world, just the same mythos.

How difficult is it to get a wiimote to work on a pc? I might get one when i upgrade my pc

Also how powerful does a pc need to be to run wii games? If nothing else then compared to gamecube emulating

I played a bunch of wii and gamecube games on my i7 920 @3ghz years ago, and I'm sure the new versions of the emulator are even more optimized by now. Graphics card is not really that important if you have at least a decent card that can run PC games (my old gtx285 was overkill for it).

And I never bought a wiimote myself, some games require it though, so decide what you want to play before you run off and buy one.
