it was a sabrent flexible tripod. apparently the are for sale at Walmart tho.
honestly wouldn't recommend this one, it is kinda annoying' and wears out kinda quick.

Congrats on the new hardware!
If you need to nerd out, understand PSUs, and blah blah blah. Lemme know. I've built a lot of crazy machines.
Only issue right now is...good luck finding a GPU at all, let alone for any kind of remotely reasonable price.

Read yesterday harddrives are going up in price too, and another thing, but forgot what, maybe RAM.
Not just because of chips but apparently people's buying habits have changed (possibly due corona and the lack of consoles availability more people spent more money on a good pc).

+1
start building new pc last summer and decided first to buy the rest of hardware and wait until rtx 30th series was released in order to get the 20xx cheaper. I haven't been so wrong for a long time... now I'm sitting with my old r9 270 with 2 gb :`(

I have the intern graphic processor on the CPU.
So DirectX 9 is the maximum ..... :o(
And i waited, like you, that the prices for the 20xx fall as soon as the 30xx came out.
And then came corona, that people are "all" at home and think it is great to update the computer parts and on top the skalpers and miners that skyrocket the prices too.

it's one of those things I regret not learning how to do earlier. I've looked a bit into it and honestly picking the right mb seems like will be the most challenging part.

It can be tough. I will say that right now, AMD procs are every bit as good (and in many cases, better) than Intel, and that will save you a few bucks (although they're all high in cost since there's a shortage...I could make money on my 1.5-year-old 2950X Threadripper 2). Once you figure out your chipset, that will narrow down the mobo selection.
Also: do NOT cheap out on the power supply. A lot of people try to save money there and end up paying for it in the long run. If you have a cheap power supply that dies catastrophically...frequently, it takes other expensive components with it. Plus, a really good PSU can be used for several years and multiple upgrades of everything else. Literally your entire PC depends upon it, so don't treat it like an afterthought.

my second monitor for my laptop used to be an vga monitor i stole from my brother. it was always amusing to use my displayport to connect with vga via vga to hmdi and hdmi to dp adapter, truly the future.

i actually used to live in my parents basement and one side was completely covered in windows, I had so many issues with glare. At least here I can buy 98% blackout curtains which do a well enough job

Ye, it's a wacom cintiq. I had an intous, but found it really works much better when you're actually drawing onto your drawing.

Watch some Linus Tech Tip videos, they have a lot of desktop game computer builds.

Good luck, not the best time to build with the GPU, CPU and Power supply shortages.

As some said, not the best time price-wise to be getting especially a GPU. BUT, depending on which games you want to play, you may not need the newest hardware. E.g. myself, I have a GTX 1050 Ti (4GB) - and many would call that obsolete, since it wouldn't handle 2K or 4K, nor can it run many a new game at full details with 60 FPS. I don't mind though, since I still have a backlog of older games to play, for which the GPU is more than enough, and it comes with lower power consumption than newer GPUs - and that GPU can still be had in shops, relatively cheap.
On the other hand, if I totally wanted to play e.g. Cyberpunk 2077 right now, then that GPU sure wouldn't be good enough for the full graphical experience. Or similarly if I wanted to make full use of other GPU-intensive software, such as some graphical designers working with 3D-models might want, then that GPU probably also wouldn't be top choice. But as it is, plenty of fine as far as I am concerned.
And if I would be upgrading, first would be probably the somewhat older CPU (i5-4570 at 3,20 GHz), doubling the RAM (from 16 to 32), and/or new motherboard to begin with (to be able to have DDR4 RAM instead of DDR3), and a SSD. But while that would bring a bit of performance increase on a game such as Ashes of Singularity: Escalation, I am not really lagging behind with the rig as it is, despite it being "so last century" compared to what many in the U.S. have, especially after the bonus payments of like $600 a week (something most other countries didn't have by the way - e.g. in Germany, the unemployed got 10 masks for free, and then after more than a year of pandemic an one-time extra payment of about $180 for masks and stuff, while still waiting probably several more months for a vaccination).

Yo, G, It's what I now am. Got a new desk and my my triple monitor set up so I'm now officially a gamer. Guess I hate women now. As a black trans person I thought I had it bad but now seeing the oppressions Gamers face on a daily basis, man, we really do live in a society.
I guess I should finally start building a gaming computer, my laptop cannot handle this shit. Any tips or starters?
Also all you surprised to see me back without my usual pettiness, don't worry I gotcha covered. I actually had a lot of it, but I'll just settle for pissing of the people who get annoyed ga's are put in general and not off topic.
