I don't like to hide anything, especially games I already own. Sometimes people like to make giveaways that I enjoy commenting on even though I don't enter most of them.
I think this has caused me to enter less giveaways though, since I need to scroll through pages and pages of games that I don't enter. I guess it works out in the end, because of massive backlog and all.

I stopped hiding games around 2000, I figured it was easier to just use the wishlist filter. The only issue was packages but fortunately that's solved with the recent update.

Now that cg updated it so the page doesn't refresh I started to use it more and there is less and less pages of giveaways :)

I have 3,413 games blacklisted so far. I blacklist those that I have no interest in, but not those that I have mixed feelings about (I don't enter those, but I keep them un-hidden until I decide whether I'd play them or not). I have endless scrolling so going through all the giveaways is very quick for me.

The only thing i hide are items, mostly DLC, which are not properly shown as owned already. I rarely even look at the "all" tab, since i mostly only join group/whitelist and wishlist giveaways or invite-only from the discussions.

Wow, I have yet to use the hide feature, but I can see how efficient it makes the site for you. I would imagine that you look at nearly every new game on here like this. :)

I completely understand what you mean. I discovered this site right after I discovered bundles, and at first I'd enter giveaways for anything that looked fun/interesting, but after winning games and buying bundles and accumulating the dreaded backlog, I've gotten much pickier and only look at ones that I realistically expect to play. :)

I basically blacklist games, that I already have, but system does not recognize that. This thread made me think, that maybe I should start, because there really are games I will never ever play, so what's the point in trying to get them or at least displaying on the active GA list? I'll start with that on sunday ;) today I am preparing for my first MTB event this year (which will happen tomorrow) ;)

ja mieszkam w Gliwicach - 90km bardziej na południe względem Wrocka, przebijasz? masz jeszcze ok 130 do granicy ;)
też mam angielski słownik, ale czerwień jakoś mi nie przeszkadza (choć trudniej dostrzec byka ;P)
co do rajdu - dzięki za życzenia, a w temacie warunków - parafrazując wieszcza: "lasy wszędzie, woda wszędzie, błoto będzie, błoto będzie"
zbyt płasko (ale tak zawsze startuje sezon MTB w takich cyklach), więc woda i >2000 uczestników zrobiło w lesie niezłe bagno

I only hide stuff I already own, and all software. Sometimes there's also packs and bundles from which I have most of. I still have only 3 pages of giveaways though. 970 items currently hidden.
