Well, if they make them 70 dollar sales, maybe now they can start putting some real effort into the store

85€?!?!
Did they drop on their head and kept on bouncing?

I really want to play the game, i've spent countless hours in 7,8,9 in ps1 but i don't want to support epic and their exclusive bullshit. i'm waiting for this and kingdom hearts to come to steam.

I already played it on ps4, though unfortunately ps4 version is missing the yuffie stuff from it. I'll probably end up getting it on pc at some point though, but to be honest I'm more looking forward to the other FF7 remake they are doing of the original games for mobile & tablets. I think I would have preferred what they are doing for those over the actual remake, but don't get me wrong, the remake was good in its own way too.

Ive bought Epic exclusives in the past. Wasnt let down BUT of course steam is much better.
BUT
AT THIS PRICE??
My most eyed games currently are GoW and Elden Ring... both cheaper
-Brand new never released biggest release of the year: cheaper
-System seller exclusive never promised on pc: cheaper
-The game that was supposed to launch on pc and didnt yet who knows why thats only Half of the story: More expensive
Yeah Square, makes complete sense for me.

So much so that in Russia you can buy both GoW (which has pretty much no regional price) and ER for slightly less than either FF7 or Forspoken. Good luck with these prices ¯_(ツ)_/¯

can't and never have seen what is so great about final fantasy games

Counting each episode as a full game is fine, but this is priced higher than a full game normally is, at least for Canada. Normally a full game is $70-$80, while this is going for $94, and then Epic charges 13% HST (15% for some other provinces) on top of it. I'm not paying over $105 for it. Just hope the price will be more reasonable when it hits Steam.

By the time it comes to Steam, more of the game will have been released, so I'll wait. Not a big deal.
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh the price is back up. I saw reports (didnt bother to confirm) that the price was taken down for a little while. No idea why but yeah its a lot. Hopefully though the price does count every episode and its not like haha pay 70 quid then another 70 quid when we bring out the other part

The game page was up with the price tag and "Coming soon".
After that they removed the price from the page due to backlash (just to hide how expensive it is)
Of course now that the game is actually out, the price is back

Best Regional price with coupon applied that i find looks like to be Turkey it's around $35€ instead of $69\79€
with -60try coupon apply,if someone of you find a best regional price and want to tell it to me i would be happy to know,i agree with other people here price it's a little bit expensive for me with that price i can play around 6\10 games with xbox game pass\hb\steam etc. and i don't care if someone is bundles, services etc it's always game to play and have fun,so if don't exist a better regional price i think i would wait the steam version too it's ok to wait 1-2 years for me it's not a problem to enjoy steam games,sg,xgp in the middle time ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I dont get why ppl hate on epic just buy and play the game if u like it stop bitching about egs if u dont care about supporting the devs wait for the game to get cracked

Today is a good day... to not support epic again. lol

If these prices will become standard we will see some company banktruptcy because pirating will be back to its golden age as even possible sale prices will be above the budget of many. Luckily, not affecting me, i don't really like JRPG pointless grindfests.

I know it's okay price. I saw just the 34€ thing, that's why my mind says "hmm but it's 10€ more" ^^
But yeah, I'm happy as well, since I saw the 25th event. (Crisis Core as well on Steam yeaaaaaaaaaaah^^)
You can play FF7 remake now, it's not locked.

Oh didn't know the price difference euro - dollar was still that big, 34 euro would have been nice yeah (especially if that discount would have worked on it). But there is always a risk they would block/revoke it though.
Ah then i had a derp moment, someone mentioned the sale ended july 7th on steam which somehow automatically made me assume it wasn't playable till then. Thanks, gonna load it up then. ;)
I never played Crisis Core, also i want https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/stranger-of-paradise-final-fantasy-origin here, graphically it might look old, but i think the gameplay would feel old style.
Not to mention the Kingdom Hearts games, but the price, ouch...

Stranger of Paradise would be nice as well.
Or Finally Kingdom Hearts! I wish that so hard! >.<

I mean, inflation is a thing. Being surprised that games cost more than 5 years ago when basically everything does is strange to me. And for the longest time, the gaming market experienced a deflation if anything (freebies, bundles, etc. drove the average game's price down a lot)
Comment has been collapsed.
Also consider that they are selling to more people. Gaming has exploded a lot over the past few years. Since it's a digital product it costs them nothing to sell more copies while making them money. You can see big studios raking in Billions every year while complaining about how they aren't making enough money @ just $60 a game and need to increase it.
Comment has been collapsed.
pretty much this. its why i dont buy the 'our games are getting bigger, so therefore production costs increase therefore you gotta pay more' excuse. no.. the industry has exploded, and publishers are making more money that ever before, while production standards have dropped and exploitative microtransactions have increased.
Publishers expect the massive year on year profit increases to continue indefinitely, and this is how theyre trying to ensure it. If we are heading for a recession, its going to bite them on the ass when people start (gasp!) prioritising food and keeping the power on over paying 70usd for a bug-filled 5 hour game.

And remember CRISIS CORE –FINAL FANTASY VII– REUNION (remake of crisis core) coming to steam this winter
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, but you already made a topic about it, this originally started about epic when Intergrade came on there.
I think the second part of this doesn't have a steam or epic page yet, beside it's been pushed back so long, who knows winter might actually be true.

Is just remainder not everyone cheek all news
on 25th anniversary stream and on Announcement Trailer SE mention about winter release (and it will be on steam)

https://steamcommunity.com/app/1462040/discussions/0/4748497451434978042 Use one of these codes on GMG and you get some extra discount with (they stack THEN it's 45 euro) or without being an XP user. Apparently these codes will last till the end of june.
[Edit] Sorry clarified the GMG deal a little better.
Second part of FF7 is coming winter 2023.
