Hey guys. I don't see a lot of Steam technical support questions here, but I didn't see anything against it in the guidelines. I hope it's okay. Oh, and I do have a giveaway for you all! Link. Anyway maybe this could be serve as a guide for anyone who has future problems.
The problem is that I can't seem to have my Steam games to begin downloading. When I click install, the screen pops up saying the game is preparing to install said game.. After some time, a new screen appears saying that the connection time out. Despite this I can browse the Steam store fine and the rest of my internet is working okay.
I recently reinstalled my OS and was wondering if there was something I needed to do to get Steam working again. First I assumed it was a firewall issue but the problem persists with the firewall on (with Steam lists as a visible extension) or the firewall off completely. I tried changing the server the downloads were coming from int he options menu. I have also tried downloading games on the same machine under different accounts. I'm not sure what else to try
If anyone could help or bump I would appreciate at it!
