The daily deal just changed

That's happened once or twice before when there was a computer fart and the wrong game went on sale. Just more evidence that the daily deal computers are on the fritz

lol that is really weird.. Sins of a Solar Empire never showed as Daily Deal for me on the main page but it was the one announced in the News page (and still is).. BUT it actually was on sale then and isn't anymore. Civ V is still going on it's yesterday Deal too :O

I normally check the main page to see the Daily Deal as it changes (1PM here) but the last few days it's always been f**ked up .. still showing the one from the day before and changing later on.

Off the record is essentially the same as dr2, but with the protagonist from the first dead rising game, slightly different dialogue/plot, a sandbox mode, some new combo weapons/psychopaths, and the photography mechanic from the first game. If you're worried about storyline start with 2 since OTR is officially an "alternate reality" version, but if you just want to strap some chainsaws to kayak paddles and wade through mobs of zombies, feel free to just play OTR.

If i remember correctly i had to turn down the audio sampling rate in windows to get OTR to run properly, and it has GFWL which is always annoying IMO, but I played through it to the end without any serious issues outside of that. I will say that it's kind of a clunky port, but still a pretty fun game.

This is exactly correct. 2 has the "canon" story, and OTR is filler/a what-if scenario. Both are pretty fun games.

It's the same game, but DR2 is canon while Off the record have sandbox and a bit more stuff.
