A tip. Moderators of the S.Gifts chat would go by site rules. No sharing puzzle answers.

Also, for a puzzle you say its okay to get answers from others, the opening post with DON"T POST ANY ANSWERS OR HINTS it ruins the fun seems to go against that.

It is most likely something called a hint. You know, not an answer, just something to direct you towards the answer. Not much point to a quiz if you don't find the answers.

Regardless, you were asking in the site chat. Site rules reign there. The creator of the quiz might have been willing to offer a hint himself, but you weren't talking to him.
