Yes...you can play L4D1 campaigns in L4D2. But I'm not sure if you can play with people that only have L4D1 while you play L4D2.

dont waste your time, better buy L4D2. It has ALL the content from L4D and the additional melee weapons. Also all the free DLC, such ass the passing and the sacrifice. You won-t be playing with people from l4d, becasuse it doesn-t support the melee weapons. L4D2 its a really cool game, add me if you want and we could play through campaign or survival or whatever >D.

You can, but only with the new specials. Some players prefer the vanilla L4D1 specials and those maps.

What do you mean only with the new specials? In L4D2, you can play with the specials from L4D1 (such as hunter, smoker, boomer). Unless you meant something else o:

In L4D2, even playing the original campaigns from the first game, you have to fight Chargers, Spitters and Jockeys. The maps were changed to make you suffer a lot more by allowing these things to charge you off buildings more easily, for example.

Oh you meant THAT, (relating to difficulty/What the heck karma charger!?). Yeah, those are a bit annoying.
