Another vote for Contrast. 9/10 in my book, and at 3h:15m (median play time) it should be very much finishable (is that a word?) in one week. It took me longer than 3 hours, but that's because I'm slow.

Other ideas for the OP

Contrast and The Bird Story. You can also try Back to bed.
This War of Mine and The Talos Principle are also great, but I think you probably need more time.
Anyway, happy Thanksgiving!!!

Edit: I change my mind since your time is limited.

As far as I see and know, Contrast is one of easiest game to 100%. Limbo is getting really hard on last achievement.

Edit: Or you can play Clicker Heroes, cause it's free. It takes about 11 weeks to beat it, judging from Astats.

Most definitely. It is short by rpg standards (I have about 11h logged though that might also include idle time) and it is a must play imo. The final boss is a bit annoying but once you figure him out, it is rather simple.

It's possible. :) (and it's very easy to play it in chunks... and you'll want to finish it, because People. Awesome people you get to know along the way).
I'll second Banner Saga. I have 32 hours logged, but I did 2 or 3 playthroughs and juggled saves a bit.
As for the rest, from those I've played - To the Moon, A Bird Story, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter - you can probably beat each in one sitting/session/day (3-5 hours)

I'm not sure if your question is serious, but here is my modest proposal. Just choose a game - you have great games there - and simple enjoy it.
Congratulations on your new home

I try to live in denial, and just thinking aloud, I'm sorry if some confusion occurred. :)
In any case, I think my answer is good - select the game and enjoy it. Without caring for achievements or how much time will you need to finish it.

This War of Mine or The Vanishing of Ethan Carter are rather straight games, very nice and not too challenging.
While Pillers of Eternity or Tales of Zestiria can last whole weeks if not months

so those 2 are my pick. I heard that especially This War of Mine is game which you 'feel' not only play

not talking about giving them away, just my simple recommendation most of people won't mind though :D

You reminded me to 100% Back to Bed :) One achievement remains. It's very short, btw. Around 1-1.5 hours to beat the story. I voted for Limbo. It's also very short and with autumn gloom mood, imho. Contrast must be also a good candidate while it's a bit longer. Tales of Zestiria (which is currently winning) is actually a long game, but if you like it you might easily finish main story in a week.
Oh, and congrats with new home ^^

You're not even going to enjoy it. I mean, you could skip dialogues as if they were sunday masses, grind just enough to beat the bosses, ignore the sidequests and finish the game, but it's like eating a popsicle with a hair dryer aimed at it.

If you want to beat the game in a week, you should either try Remember Me, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter or LIMBO. Depending on of you want to use a guide, you can beat the last 2 in a day. Back to Bed, A Bird Story and To the Moon would be beatable in a day, too.

From the games that are right now in Top 7, a try for a game beatable in a week is The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. Contrast would be a good choise for it, too, from what i saw of the game. I think at least Tales and FF XIII should be impossible if you don't play 8+ hours a day, Talos Principle and War of Mine would be hard to do, too.

Talos would be finishable in a week, and since you have 5 hours played it will be a good start. But that will depend on how well you do on the more complex puzzles. If you want to definitely finish a game that week, you probably should look if you can find some average times to complete, will be some help to decide.
Tales and Pillars should be at least at 40+ hours to finish, most likely much much longer, would be better to wait then. But there are enough games on the list that you can finish in the time, and most likely some will make if in the top places.

Wow... 1800+ games, and you don't have Valiant Hearts: The Great War? Such an engaging story!

I would start with one of the shorter games since your time is limited (moving is SO exhausting!!) I'd say to start with Contrast; it's really good. Short, but good! Back to Bed is a fun puzzle game, and shouldn't take up a whole lot of time, either.

Selfishly-speaking there are two in particular that I'd vote for if I had two votes to cast, and those would be Toren and Valkyria Chronicles.

Nice to see you posting, Student ^__^
