I think you're already going to run into issues with your group.
Historical Minimum Value as a requirement is a very bad idea.
Fallout 4 (as an example) is a AAA title that went below $10 during the Winter Sale for the Russians.

But you're still going to run into issues. There will always be really good games that fall under the $10 requirement.
Fallout: New Vegas, Portal 1 & 2, Terraria, Starbound, Stardew Valley, the list goes on and on.
With this requirement you're essentially limiting yourself to rich people who only want the absolute latest titles (which might be the intention)

Listen, Koitenshin, I see that your opinions are being disruptive and not helping at all, since I see criticism but not suggestions.
Also, I don't understand why you care so much to comment, since you have not read the rules (and you have not read them, otherwise you would have seen that for the games you have mentioned there is a specific tier in the group).
If you are interested in joining, please, say so. Otherwise, bug off.

I simply didn't see the link for the rules. I would recommend 4 tiers (.99~9.99, 10.00~19.99, 20.00~29.99, & 30+). I'd also recommend that games not be allowed unless they are above a certain rating %. That would prevent shovelware and crap "games" like Galactic Hitman, Dead Bits, etc.
I am interested in joining, but I'm not level 6 yet. I'm merely trying to help out a bit.

Well, thanks for the suggestions, these are comments that I appreciate.
Will think about it, but having too many tiers seems to be too confusing and not necessary.
Also "shovelware" you indicated as examples, is simply not accepted, since Normal Tier starts at 2.99$ (and base price of Dead Bits is 0.99$ and Galactic Hitman was 1.99$).

Not interested myself, but have a bump none the less

That's an interesting concept, I really like the idea.
What I don't like is the 24h rule:
9 - A winning member must create a new gift no more than 24 hours later after his winning.
I think 24h is too short. It requires you to check SG daily to avoid rule breaking and puts you in a stressful spot once you won a game, because you have to buy and gift a valid game in a few hours. This encourages to buy games and don't gift them to have a "backup" once needed, which I think is contrary to the group's intention. It also puts an uncomfortable pressure onto being a member of this group.
I'd propose a period of 7 days instead of 24 hours, so you
(a) don't have to check SG every day and
(b) have some time to buy a new game if you won
Currently I'm not interested in joining as I'm packed with work and don't have the time for sth like this, but I will definitely apply in a few weeks.

Wintermute and I after having created AKATSUKI have decided to create a new unbundled games group.
We are trying to meet the expectations of some SGers who would like to participate in a high value group but who also dislike gifts creation being mandatory, with a monthly cadence, or similar.
Again, other users (just like many in AKATSUKI) don't like being in groups that enforce ratio systems.
Drawing inspiration from the fundamental idea of OMG group in SG, we have tried to implement a few significative modifications which we think will be welcomed.
A group for high quality GAs; a group with freedom of choice when deciding your own level of participation; a group which tries to adapt to members' avalaible resources; a group that makes you create a giveaway only when you are winning one.
In this steam page you can read our rules.
You'll notice that gifts have to follow specific criteria, the most important one being respecting a Historical Minimum Value threshold.
We have decided to implement such a rule in order to have high quality games being given away.
In order to apply to our group, you have to be at least of level 5 here on SG: write here, into this welcoming gift, in order to present your candidacy.
When commenting, please, try and help us getting a better idea of the group by stating if your are more interested in the normal or elite tier.
If you can't enter this GA, post a comment here below, writing something like:
"I could not pass the SGTools test, but nevertheless I am interested in joining the group" (please, apply only if you are at least a level 5 user) and we will take your application in consideration.
